“I was back home…!”

Afterwards, Mika and Sakura tried it together. Although due to the Time Stop function, I was also forcibly transferred there when they went to Earth.

“Great…! It looks like we all managed to reach our homes without any issues… What’s the plan? Should we return for a single day to spend some time with our parents?”

In essence, if Time Stop was turned on, all people with that function set to “on” were sent along forcibly. If it was set to “off”, you wouldn’t be sent along even if someone with the function tuned on went to that world, and in exchange, the separated soul would control the body. Moreover, the Time Stop function would keep track of all people who used it, so everyone who had used the function at least once would have their Time Stop point updated to the latest user¹.

“Everyone… did you set it to ‘on’?” Kanata asked us.

While I didn’t fully understand how it worked, I made sure it was turned on and nodded. The other three did the same.

“Alright… we’ll be off, then!”

While hearing Rir wish Shuu a safe trip in a lively voice, we closed our eyes.

I opened my eyes. Unfortunately, my body was no longer that of a girl.

Hm~, seems like her chest has gotten bigger (or rather, returned to how it was)… She looks somewhat sexy in those pajamas… well, that doesn’t matter now. If I blurt something like that out, it’d probably bother her. I better restrain myself.

“Sakura!”
“Kanata!”

With a clatter, more windows opened. Kanata, from the window next to mine, and Sakura, from the window next to Mika’s, were leaning out, just like us.

“Great… we all made it here.”
“Hang on, we haven’t checked on Shuu, yet!”

Where was it again…? Ah, there it is.
I picked up my smartphone, aka one of the causes of my death, and opened the usual phone app.

Then, I contacted Shuu.

«We all made it home safely! What about you?»

Come to think of it, isn’t Shuu’s phone currently in Anazumu…?
That turned out to be a needless concern, seeing I immediately got a reply.

«I’m the same! I was thinkin’ of talkin’ to Mom and Pops now.»

I see.

I put down the smartphone and turned back to the others.

“Shuu says, he also made it here safely!”
“Right… that’s a relief,” Mika commented.

…She’s as cute as always.

“Alright. Then, for the time being… we should say hi to our parents. Same goes for you girls. We might end up having to talk with our three families together. That could very well happen, so keep that possibility in mind.”

After leaving us with those words, Kanata pulled his head back from the window.

“Then… I’m also off.” Sakura followed suit, disappearing into her room.
“Ah. See you later Ayumu! We’ll go do what Kanata suggested!”

Mika also pulled back from the window and closed it. Although it looked like she didn’t lock it.

Faced with no other option, I also withdrew into my room and shut the window.

I checked the calendar again. It was still the very day I was supposed to die. For some reason, this gave me complicated feelings. Right when I should’ve died, I returned, bringing tons of new things.

I heard rustling from the neighboring room.
Oops… I should get ready, too.

For now, I quickly took off my pajamas and changed into my school uniform. Then, I opened the door.
To see them… To see Mom and Dad!

TL notes:
We’re starting volume 15 with everyone (except for poor Rir, who’s left out) returning to Japan for a day. It will be the shortest volume of the series at only 15 chapters.

1. Again, likely to avoid wrecking any causality that remains. Although, this whole thing pretty much implies that there normally is no correlation between the time flow on Anazumu and Earth.
