“Is it over now?”
“Looks like it. Oh, there’s a treasure chest… and some kind of sword.”

Where Kanata was pointing, a treasure chest and a sword, which had been stabbed into a pedestal, had appeared unnoticed. The two kids closed in on those objects.

“The sword is for you, Sakura.”
“I guess… What about the treasure chest?”
“Let’s open it together.”

The kids put their hands on the chest and lifted its lid. Inside, there were two legend grade accessories, skill cards, magic cards, and magic cores of four different ranks. Kanata, who had expected jingling coins and jewels, seemed a bit disappointed, but compared to Shuu and Rir, the kids had received an additional legend grade accessory, though they didn’t know that.

They appraised each legend grade item one by one.

“Then… I’ll take this Draunir bracelet. You can have the other two, Sakura.”
“Huh… are you sure?”
“Yep. Go ahead.”
“T-Thank you.”

While Kanata took only Draupnir, Sakura got both the sword Deerhorn and the necklace Brísingamen. The boy then immediately equipped Draupnir.

“Looks nice, doesn’t it? Makes me appear a bit like some upstart but… it’s pretty cool.”
“Y-You’re right! It fits you!”
“Ah-ha-ha, thanks. How about you try on that necklace, too?”
“A-Alright.”

Sakura put on Brísingamen. Possibly because she had wanted it that way, the necklace changed to a rather modest size, but it still shone, as if to increase the allure of the girl, who had been beautiful from the start.

“H-How… does it look?”
“Sakura… you’re incredibly pretty.”
“Huh!? Uhm… t-thank you!”

Due to the necklace suiting Sakura way too much, Kanata accidentally ended up speaking his true thoughts. But when he heard Sakura thank him in a trembling voice, he immediately regained his senses.

“Ah… what was I just saying?”
“Huh? You don’t remember?”
“Yes. Sorry, it was like I was in a daze for a moment… Right, you asked me how it looks. It suits you quite well. Uhm… it’s cute… like… really cute… awfully cute…”

In apparent embarrassment, Kanata complimented Sakura on her appearance. Again, and again.
When he had gone on like that for dozens of seconds, Sakura lightly punched him in his solar plexus.

“Ow!”
“…Are you making fun of me?”
“N-No… that’s not it. All… all of it was true… erm… I don’t know how you get this ‘Gift of Charm’ title, so… for now, I thought I should repeatedly tell you my true thoughts and give you compliments… I guess,” Kanata explained with a smile, as his already flushed face turned an even deeper shade of red.

While Sakura felt happy about his words, she couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of exasperation in view of his puzzling efforts.

“Hah… About that, Kanata. I, uhm… I already have a higher version of this ‘Gift of Charm’ title… I thought it was some mistake, and it felt embarrassing, so I never told you about it…”
“I… I see! So that’s why you look so incredibly beautiful and cute, Sakura! I get it, I finally get it! No… You always were pretty, weren’t you…? I thought so since we were in pre-school, but you never seemed to have any confidence in your looks, so… Oops!”

In his joy that he hadn’t been mistaken about Sakura’s beauty, Kanata ended up blurting out almost everything he had been thinking.

Sakura wasn’t sure whether he was speaking from the heart or had some goal in mind. From her perspective, he only acted like that since they were childhood friends. But no matter what his reasons were, he had been complimenting her looks. Once she realized that, her face turned red like a boiled squid, and she could no longer meet the boy’s eyes.

Still, she made sure to thank him. Though she ended up slurring her words.

“Uhm… K’nata… erm… even if you praishe me like that… you … uhm… won’t get anyshing in return… you shee? It’sh… it’sh embarrashing… B-But… shank… shank you.”

The moment he heard her words of thanks, Kanata, unthinkingly, drew her into an embrace. As for why he did that, he didn’t seem to know himself. Sakura’s feelings were thrown even further into disarray.

“Woah… wha~!? Aah!”
“Huh…? I’m… I’m s-s-sorry, my body acted on its own…”
“Wawawawa-…”

“I’m sorry for hugging you so suddenly.”
“Well, I was a bit shocked, but… I didn’t mind it that much, you know. At this stage… it’s no big deal.”

A few minutes later, the two kids had managed to calm down. Though they still couldn’t look at each other’s faces.

“R-Right. Once we’re back home, let’s make cake or something again. So… uhm… we should go gather up all that stuff around here and leave.”
“Alright.”

They split up the work, picked up the ravens’ corpses and all the feathers, and put them away in their magic bags. They also stored all the treasures in Kanata’s magic bag.

“Then, let’s use that spot over there to leave.”
“Yeah, let’s…!”

After making sure they hadn’t missed anything, the two kids plunged into the light. They had cleared the dungeon.

TL notes:
Well, that sure was a roller-coaster, from distributing loot straight into advancing Kanata and Sakura’s relationship.

Speaking of loot, we once more got stuff that is suspiciously tailor made for our protagonists, and a weapon that didn’t come from the treasure chest (maybe that’s normal and Alim’s dungeons were the outliers?). Sakura’s new necklace in particular seems very op and might even beat the legend grade stuff Alim produced (though it’s bound to a title that may or may not be hard to obtain).

1. The original is ディアホーン (Diahoon). Seeing one of the materials used for it is an antler, the name “Deerhorn” seems probable. I didn’t find any weapons called Diahon or Deerhorn in Norse mythology. The only thing that turned up is the god Freyr who uses an antler as a weapon after giving away his sword.
2. The original is ドラウプニル (doraupuniru). Draupnir is a golden ring belonging to Odin in Norse mythology, which creates 8 copies of itself every night.
3. The original is ブリーシンガメン (buriishingamen). Brísingamen is the necklace of the goddess Freyja in Norse mythology.
4. Wait, there are negative versions of the charm titles? If they work the same way (make people see you as uglier/more repulsive), they could easily cause a feedback loop to make people hate you more and more until you could no longer live in society.
