“Come here, Alim. We all have discussed it, so…”
Right after finishing lunch, Karua started to lay out their plans with me for the afternoon.
“We shall play by dressing you up! You don’t mind, do you?”
“Karua, Alim says that she’s fine with it,” Mika told her.
“Indeed! That settles it!”
I never said I’m fine with it… I didn’t say anything!
By “playing dress-up”, they apparently meant using the clothing-change machine from two days ago.
I don’t mind, but I’d prefer for them to dress me in stuff that won’t make me catch a cold, this time. Back then, I had to crank up the heat quite a bit, since I got so chilly…
When I told them my request, they agreed to it.
“In that case…”

“That was fun, was it not?” Karua commented.
Indeed, they made me wear tons of outfits today, too. I had to wear a snowman costume, dress like the character from a book… and do so-called cosplay.
How can it be so much fun for them to make me dress up in more than 50 different outfits?
“Hah… We played a lot, didn’t we?”
“Tomorrow, we need to return home…”
Lilo and Myuri mused regretfully.
Even if they go home, we’re pretty much neighbors, aren’t we? They can visit us whenever they want.
“Won’t Mr. Ruin and Mr. Orgo be lonely?”
To my question, the two girls replied not like I expected.
“Well… I doubt it.”
“Will they not simply be doing sword practice?”
Is that so? I’m sure they’re pretty lonely… Is that because girls don’t understand how boys feel?
…No, that’s probably not it.
When I noticed, the clock was already pointing at 6 pm.
Time for dinner.
“Should we start with dinner, already? I’ll make Golden Rose Queen Dragon steak!”
So, a steak from Rose’s meat will become a superb dish for everyone… No, it’s Golden Rose Queen Dragon meat. We can’t eat Rose, she’s a person.
Well, it’s delicious. Still, ever since Rose became a demi human, I feel a bit reluctant to eat it, you know… Though Mika seems cool about it.
I placed the finished dishes in front of everyone.
“Thanks for the food!” we chorused and then started on the steaks.
Uhm, this’ll probably be the last meal I’ll make for our guests… Wait, there’s also breakfast and lunch tomorrow. I need to make those two extravagant, don’t I?
After eating dinner, we went into the bath.
This really is the last time we’ll bathe together. Almost every single day, something happened in there…
This was also true for today: When Mika entered the bath with the spraying device, it ended up producing miniature dolls of me. Also, Karua slipped and somehow managed to do a backflip. It was pretty funny… or should I call it weird? There were quite a few weird incidents.
We left the bath, ate melon slices (or something closely resembling melons), and then went to bed.
Today, as usual, I’d sleep between Mika and Karua in the same bed. On that note, Myuri and Lilo said that they’d also sleep in the same bed as us, the next time they’d visit. I could already see them poking my cheeks all night long.
“I quite enjoyed today, too!” Karua told us, as she crawled under the blankets.
“That’s great. Tomorrow, you’ll already have to go home, won’t you?” I asked her.
“Yes… I do. I will return to the castle. Please come to play with me soon, Alim, Mika… Oh, I just remembered! About one week from now, there will apparently be a day when a lot of stars fall from the sky. Let us watch it together!”
A day when lots of stars fall… Does she mean a meteor shower? Do these exist in Anazumu, too…? I mean, if it’s in space, they should.
“Let’s do that, as long as we don’t have any errands on that day,” Mika told her.
“You’re right, Mika,” I agreed.
“Indeed, please come, if you are not busy.”
Quite some time has passed since I came to Anazumu, but there’s still things I don’t know about… So, there are meteor showers… On second thought, I’ve never seen one of those before.
“That day when stars fall… does it only happen once every several hundred years?” I asked.
“Huh? No, it happens about once every three to four years… There was also a year when it occurred twice in the span of half a year… It is very irregular1.”
“Oh, really?”
What’s with that frequency? Feels like something is messing with the laws of physics2.
I guess they’re not that rare in this world. That’s why the people who like festivals aren’t making much of a ruckus yet.
“Alim, Mika, this week was a lot of fun! Thank you so very much!”
“Oh no, the pleasure was all ours. Once this trouble with Yggdrasil3 is over, let’s have that training.”
“Yes!”
A bit later, we fell asleep. Of course, since both of them were here, Mika was clinging to my arm like a koala.
TL notes:
That’s it for day 6 of Karua’s visit. Not sure if this was worth the wait of 35 chapters. I guess the author ran out of ideas. The good (?) news is that we’ll only have to wait 5 chapters for the last day.
Footnotes:
- So, how do they even know it’ll happen? I very much doubt the people of Amazumu know much about physics and astronomy. I guess they could be using future-telling skills.
- The original is 宇宙の法則 (“law of the universe”). I assume he means the laws of physics that apply in outer space.
- The original is エルドラシル (erudorashiru) which I assume is a typo.
