Project GB is an official initiative by Re:Library.

The party to celebrate the completion of the event dungeon began shortly after.

Rouge also came, after hiding for the duration of the fight, and they all walked around talking about random things while enjoying the takoyaki being served (though Crim ate ones filled with cheese instead of octopus).

“Ah, ish hoff..!”
“Are you okay?!”
“Make sure it’s not so hot next time, okay?”

Crim and Freya watched as Rouge huffed painfully, tears forming in her eyes. She was no longer taking the appearance of a fairy but had regained her original human shape.

“By the way… what exactly are these for him?”

Crim took one of her cheese faux takoyaki and fed it to Cluh on Lulu’s lap and suddenly began to wonder about that. Hearing that, everyone within earshot went dead silent.

“He said… ‘Where did that even come from? They’re not mine, so I don’t care.’” Lulu quickly translated Cluh’s thoughts, and he crossed his arms(?) and nodded along.

It seemed like the loot octopus tentacles were entirely different from the tentacles everyone had so desperately fought before. It was still a strange situation, but if Cluh said they were different, then there was no need to worry. So everyone let out a sigh of relief and continued enjoying their food.

After that, players from other guilds decided to share some of the ingredients they had obtained, turning things into a seafood party. Crim and the rest also decided to share some of the S-tier ingredients dropped by Bonithunnus, which produced no shortage of exclamations of delight.

They passed the time like that as R’lyeh slowly began to sink again, and noticed that it would be fully submerged at the same time the event ended. Large ships arrived as well, which would transport the players back to the mainland.

All players were free to explore the dungeon until the very last second of the event, and their HP became locked at maximum. The traps and enemies everywhere were also disarmed, so people could explore every last inch of the island safely.

After leisurely enjoying those last moments, it was finally time to depart.

“…Honestly, I can’t think of a single good thing I went through in this event, but seeing it go away still feels a bit sad.”

Crim noticed that Rouge was starting to tear up a bit, watching as the island sank, so she placed her hand on top of the girl’s head and muttered that.

Hina and Lyco, sitting on the shoulders of Hinagiku and Lycoris, also seemed to have a longing expression as they watched the distant horizon. R’lyeh was their birthplace, so it clearly held a special place in their hearts.

“Come to think of it… I can’t think of any memories away from the island, so in that sense I guess it makes it my home as well?” A short distance away, Lulu held back her hair as the wind blew and mentioned that with a nostalgic voice as well.

“Hm… Is that so?”
“Yes, I was brought there when I was still very young, and I never got to leave again. But he… despite his uncontrollable curse toward all his surroundings, he was actually a good ruler to those living here, you know?”

Lulu giggled a bit as she said that, before petting Cluh in her arms, who was solemnly watching the island vanish under the sea.

That had been something unexpected for Crim, so she looked at Cluh… and he averted his eyes, seemingly embarrassed.

Now that I think about it, even in that one myth it was mostly his servants that were evil, while he mostly slept and sometimes scattered thunder… but nothing too atrocious. There are definitely worse things out there.

As Crim thought of those things, the last bits of the island disappeared from sight, all fully submerged again. That marked the end of the official summer event: The Submerged City of R’lyeh.

The group returned home to Castle Seyfert.

“Well then, Scarlet Demon Lord Crim Lua Cheia, I’ll be in your care for a while starting today.”
“Ah, umm… stay as long as you desire, my home is always open.”
“Heheh, thank you.”

Lulu, no longer wearing her Chosen Child attire but a princess-like dress prepared by the maid Adonis, gave a quick curtsy. Those movements seemed extremely natural for the cute girl, and Crim was stunned for a moment, but Lulu did not seem to mind.

…And as to why Lulu was at Castle Seyfert now…

“You already have a school over in your castle, so it’ll be perfect for her to learn everything she wants about the world. And I’m sure she’ll be able to live safely there as well.”

Sorleon made that suggestion, and all of the players quickly agreed with his assessment, making the Chosen Child and the once wicked god the latest residents of Castle Seyfert.

…Also, as Cluh had once been the ruler of the Submerged City of R’lyeh, he was essentially the highest authority over Rouge and the Doppelgangers.

He was always acting haughty around them and expecting the utmost respect, but sadly for him, his current pitiful appearance meant they felt no need to correspond to those expectations. Even when he hopped onto Rouge’s head in anger, his tantrums only made him look cute, with no dignity or majesty.

All in all, Crim’s castle had become even more lively now…

“…Is it me, or is my castle starting to become the de facto destination for all NPCs with nowhere to go?” She muttered that as she watched her new guests, but it was not something she disliked in the least…
