Salmonriver Bonithunnus XIII (the tuna) charged at them with unending determination, a whirlpool of water shaped like an enormous drill starting to gather in his trident.

By then, the players had already taken so much damage that they could barely stand up, but they still unleashed every ability at their disposal in counterattack, and in the end, only two players were left standing, their bodies riddled with wounds. Crim and Sorleon.

The ground shook as his enormous body collapsed. Everyone stayed silent for a moment after that, only their breaths and the sound of flowing water being audible. The backline of Freya and Frey, who had been shielded by Kasumi, who had nearly sacrificed herself for them, sat down as they discussed the fight, recalling the groups of blowfishmen that had attempted to snipe them with water cutter attacks during the battle.

And even though his body was already turning to light, Bonithunnus’ body twitched and then jumped on his feet. Everyone instantly reached for their weapons and surrounded him, watching carefully.

But he just fell limp again.

“I’ve…failed you…not once…but twice…I’m sorry…everyone…gyo…”

Leaving those words behind with a sorrowful face…if such a thing is possible to determine with a fish face… he finally vanished entirely.

Crim looked aghast as she opened her mouth ahead of everyone else, after which…

Everyone was bewildered at the realization that Bonithunnus was capable of human speech.

They had managed to take down Salmonriver Bonithunnus XIII (wild-caught in R’lyeh), but the fight had taken around three hours, so in the real world it was already past 1am.

That obviously meant that the good girls who always went to bed early had pushed themselves way past their limit.

“…I almost forgot, but you have elementary and middle schoolers in your guild. It looks like they won’t last much longer, so let’s call it a day here.”

Sorleon said that to Crim while glancing at Lycoris who kept yawning, and Hinagiku who staggered around like she was already half asleep.

“I apologize for that… We haven’t planned anything tomorrow, so if they feel like it, we’ll come back to help more.”
“I’ll be hoping for the best then. Until then, we’ll do what we can on our own.”

Crim bowed to Sorleon, who was quickly getting his guild into formation again, and then she went to tap the two sleepy girls on the shoulder.

“Hinagiku, Lycoris, that’s it for tonight.”
“Okaaayyy…”
“Roger…that…”

The two let out languid responses and logged out instantly. They had fallen asleep the moment the intensity of battle wore off, and the system had detected that and forcefully logged them out.

The remaining four Lua Cheia members also logged out shortly after, and Nord Glacier’s attack team watched them leave with a bit of sadness, which was especially obvious in Ernesta and the male members.

…They returned from Destiny Unchain Online and awoke in the living room of Kou’s house.

“Okay…I’ll carry Hinagiku to the room, can you take care of Miyuki, Subaru?”
“Mm, okay. Hijiri, could you go on ahead and get their futons ready?”

They quickly decided who would do what and got to work.

Kou carefully slid her arms under Hinagiku’s back and knees, lifting her up from the sofa she was sleeping on. Hinagiku’s body felt really light, and it felt effortless after Kou held her more securely.

That made Kou wonder if all elementary schoolers were so light, but quickly realized that was not the case.

I think it’s more accurate to say that I’m much stronger now.

That was the same change she had been reminded of earlier that day, and the girl peacefully sleeping in her arms made her even more aware of it.

As Kou began to walk, Hinagiku comfortably leaned her head onto Kou’s chest. That brought many memories back, as Kou had also done that in the past, and she remembered how nice it felt.

“I’ll go open the doors ahead of you, okay?”
“Mhm, thank you prez. Subaru, are you holding up alright?”
“I’m fine. Miyuki weighs nothing.”
“…Don’t tell her that. It might make her die inside a little.”

As far as future prospects went, Miyuki stood right next to Hijiri as having a striking figure amongst the members of Lua Cheia, but overall, her body was still on the slender side, so it was true that she did not weigh much.

But if she were to hear that the person she looked up to so much had carried her like a princess in her sleep, and he had been left with that impression… Her introverted nature would likely take over, and she would end up keeping to herself even more.

“Umm…okay…?”

While Kou reprimanded him, Subaru was not really sure why, but just nodded to avoid conflict.

Eventually, they reached the room, where they put the two sleeping girls in their futons, and then everyone else also entered theirs, marking an end to the second day of their stay there.
