“I feel so bloated…”
“Ahahah, I can tell how much you two ate just by looking at you.”
“Th-That’s embarrassing…”

Hijiri giggled at how Hinagiku and Miyuki’s stomachs looked rounder than usual. They quickly covered their bellies with their arms in embarrassment.

As to why she could notice that change… Hijiri, Kou, Hinagiku, and Miyuki had all entered the bathroom together. And, obviously, none of them were wearing any clothes.

“Ughh, when are you going to get used to this, Kou?”
“I… I’m trying my best…”

Kou still felt awkward and a pang of guilt for being there, constantly looking around nervously, trying to avoid directly staring at all the bare skin around her.

They had agreed to wash each other’s backs during the bath, but because of Hijiri’s unrivaled skill, she ended up doing all the washing. She easily took on the role of an older sister and absolutely loved washing younger girls, so she was in bliss the entire time.

She started with Hinagiku and Miyuki, who, once cleaned, waddled over to the bath and seemed to melt into it as they sat down comfortably.

“It’s still a bit surprising, even though I knew this would happen after the time in the hot springs…”
“Hijiri is just too good at washing others…”

The two spoke in a dream-like state, and it was finally Kou’s turn to get washed.

“…Hmm, is it just me or…”
“…Hm? What is it, Hijiri?”

After washing Kou’s hair and carefully tying it up in a towel, Hijiri was scrubbing her back when she stopped and seemed to notice something. Kou began to feel uneasy, feeling a pair of eyes staring intently at her back.

“…Gotcha!”
“Hywahhhh?!”

A pair of hands wrapped around Kou’s back and grabbed a sensitive spot, making Kou let out a shriek before she instinctively covered her chest with her arms.

“Wh-wh-wh-wh-what was that?!”
“…I knew it. They got bigger.”
“…Huh?”

Kou let out a confused sound at Hijiri’s sudden announcement.

“Alright, Kou, I’ll ask you something, and I want you to be honest with me.”
“O-Okay…”

Kou nodded rapidly, her heart pounding as Hijiri moved her face so close to hers that their noses were almost touching.

“…Has your bra been feeling too tight lately?”
“…Umm… a little?”
“I guessed as much. I mean, they’ve definitely grown since the last time we checked. Or rather, you were fresh out of the hospital back then, so maybe you’re only now gaining the weight you were supposed to have back then?”
“Ahh…”

It had been a bit hard for Kou to notice since it was a gradual change, but she recalled how thin she was when she was discharged from the hospital. Compared to then, she certainly felt like her body was more plump and soft in various areas, including her chest.

“Hmm, since Hinagiku and Miyuki are here too… let’s go shopping sometime!”
“Ah, I’d love to go with you!”
“Me too, I’m in favor!”
“…Oh well, I guess that’s fine.”

Hijiri’s suggestion was met with the instant approval of the two girls in the bath.

Kou was not heartless enough to shut down the idea, so she gave a defeated nod, her eyes going vacant as she realized those three were definitely going to treat her like a dress-up doll.

And so, they decided they would all go shopping together soon.

In the end, the three girls joined hands to cover Hijiri with soap and scrub her clean, and then spent the rest of the bath time leisurely enjoying the hot water. As one would expect, it was rather lively in the bathroom with four girls in there.

◇◇◇

After the bath, they once again gathered to dry each other’s hair. Kou continued to wonder why girls enjoyed so much physical closeness when they gathered, as everyone insisted on touching her hair when it was her turn to dry it.

Once they were all back out, they found Subaru, who had been unaccounted for until now, and dragged him into a pajama party. Amari brought out her collection of vintage game consoles, and they mostly played a certain four-player fighting game about throwing each other off the stage.

In the end, there was a bit of an incident with Amari getting carried away and acting in a rather unladylike manner, doing everything in her power to win. Sora had to drag her away. But overall, it was a fun night for the first day of their stay there.

…Or so they thought.

“Kou… I mean, Master!”
“Mmm..?”

Some time after everyone fell asleep, Kou woke up feeling a soft hand poking her cheek, coupled with an urgent voice. Surveying her surroundings, still half asleep, Kou found a young girl sitting next to her.

“Mmhhh… Hahh… What’s wrong, Hinagiku?”

After rubbing her eyes and stretching a bit, Kou sat up and spoke to Hinagiku, who was teary-eyed and embarrassed by the dilemma she was in.

◇◇◇

“Master, are you still there?”
“I ammm, don’t worryyy… yawn…”

I’m scared of going to the toilet alone.

That was the embarrassing confession Hinagiku had made earlier, and so Kou had to hold her hand and accompany her.

Once they arrived, Hinagiku went in while Kou sat on the floor outside, right next to the door, doing her best to not pay attention to any sounds coming from within. When Hinagiku called to her, Kou stifled a yawn while replying.

“…I never thought you had a weakness like this.”

Hinagiku had always seemed rather mature for her age, so it was almost refreshing to see she also had such a childish side to her. At the same time, that meant Kou was not the only one scared of ghosts—though in Hinagiku’s case, it was limited to times when she needed to go to the toilet at night.

“It’s… it’s not my fault. I mean, I live in a really big place, but there aren’t many people around, and everything is built of squeaky wood, and there’s a shrine, so everything looks a bit creepy. And…”
“…And?”

Hinagiku gulped loudly before continuing.

“When I was small… I actually saw something.”
“…Yeah… it’s not your fault.”

Kou felt her skin crawl hearing that, so she quickly agreed with Hinagiku.

“Next year I’ll be in middle school, so I’ve been meaning to get over it…”
“I guess you still have to work on it…”

Kou was also trying to get over her own trauma, so she could relate with Hinagiku, as both let out loud sighs…
