Once they finished lunch, the guild Lua Cheia gathered to log back into Destiny Unchain Online.

During their break, the overzealous players had already mapped out the entire first floor of the submerged city, and Lua Cheia had managed to cover about 80% of it. However, progress on the second floor had mysteriously slowed to a crawl. That wasn’t normal. Something had clearly happened, and that uncertainty pushed Lua Cheia to move toward the second floor to investigate.

“F-Freya… It’s still fine, right?! Tell me it’s still okay!” Crim’s desperate voice echoed as she watched Freya struggle in distress.

“Ewwww, Crim, help me! It feels so gross!!” Freya cried out, her voice filled with discomfort.

The situation left half the viewers in disbelief, while the other half celebrated what they were witnessing.

Freya and Lycoris were currently entangled in a mass of slightly hairy tentacles, similar to the starfishes Crim had encountered earlier. These tentacles had latched onto their bodies, and they couldn’t break free.

“S-Stop… No, don’t touch there… noo!!”
“Wh-Wh-Why does it feel so slimy and icky?!”

It had all started just a few minutes after reaching the second floor. They’d been following a straight path that suddenly took a sharp incline to the left. Crim and Hinagiku, leading the group, managed to sidestep the trap, as did most of the others. But Freya, who often charged ahead as a tank, and Lycoris, who usually avoided getting close to enemies, didn’t expect the floor’s sudden change. They tripped and fell straight into a pool of writhing tentacles.

The tentacles quickly coiled around Freya and Lycoris, trying to pull them deeper into the pit.

While it looked rather suggestive, Destiny Unchain Online was rated for all ages, so there was no suspicious slime or acid dissolving clothes. Still…

“N-Not there… it’s sensitive… Hyaannn?!” Freya squealed as the tentacles brushed against her skin.

“Ahahah… no, it’s ticklish… ahahahah!” Lycoris couldn’t stop giggling as the tentacles’ thin hairs grazed her body.

It was more ticklish than anything else, but still overwhelmingly embarrassing.

“Why is this happening… Is this going to get our stream banned?!” Crim grumbled as she tried to cut the tentacles with her scythe. However, the tentacles were so numerous that even as she sliced through some, new ones took their place. To make matters worse, her arms were slowly getting caught as well.

Ryunosuke kept Hinagiku out of the frame as much as possible, especially since she was wearing a school swimsuit, and it would be bad if she got too close to the tentacles.

“This is an official event broadcasted through official streaming services! There’s no way they’ll ban it for adult content!” Frey assured the others.

“I hope so…!” Crim responded, still struggling.

Finally, Frey used Wind Magic to cut away the tentacles holding Lycoris, while Crim swung her scythe to free Freya. Both were dragged out of the tentacle pit, exhausted but relieved.

The viewers were still trying to make sense of what they’d just seen.

“Ughhh, I really thought I was going to laugh to death back there…” Freya groaned.

“There there, it must’ve been terrifying for you,” Crim said, patting Freya’s back. “And somehow, this feels like we’ve switched roles from the morning.”

Freya clung to Crim, still shaken, but trying to recover from the bizarre and embarrassing ordeal she’d just endured.

Crim gently patted Freya’s back, recalling the chaotic events of the morning. Meanwhile, Lycoris, her face flushed beet red, clung tightly to Frey, tears streaming down her cheeks as she tried to steady her ragged breath.

“You must’ve been so scared, but don’t worry, you’re safe now,” Frey said, comforting the young girl.

“Huff… huff… I really thought I wouldn’t be able to get married… sniff…” Lycoris cried out, voicing a rather clichéd line.

Unexpectedly—or perhaps predictably—the response came from another direction.

“…DID I HEAR THAT RIGHT?!” Ryunosuke’s enraged voice cut through the moment.

“Stop right there, producer. Take a breath and calm down,” Kasumi said, stepping in to hold him back.

“Dear, focus on your job, please,” Sara added sternly.

“B-But my daughter… I should be there, not him..!” Ryunosuke protested, trying to walk toward them, but Kasumi and Sara restrained him before he could cause more of a scene.

As the situation started spiraling into chaos, Jade spoke up, keeping her usual calm demeanor. “Well, what should we do now, Guild Master?”

Crim, still trying to process everything, sighed. “Let me think, Jade… Hmm, is it possible to burn this pool away?”

“Yes, yes, I anticipated this and already prepared incendiary bombs,” Jade responded with her characteristic efficiency, pulling two bombs from her rashguard.

“Silence! Jade, burn it to ashes before it claims more victims!” Crim ordered, clearly done with the day’s bizarre challenges.

“Right away, don’t you worry,” Jade replied calmly and tossed the bombs, which resembled fireworks, into the writhing pool of tentacles. Moments later, a roaring blaze erupted, engulfing the tentacles in flames. It appeared they were highly flammable.

“Unbelievable… Each time, my opinion of all of thee doth degrade further still!!” Crim glared at the camera, her eyes filled with indignation as the mournful comments poured in from the viewers.
