Inside a damp and humid cave deep in the dark forest…

Crim, Freya, and Frey were currently fighting a large swarm of spiders that nested only in that cave.

“Phew…so this is the Moonlight Spider Egg we’re looking for. It looks…quite extreme.”
“Eughh… Don’t make me look at that.”
“Hahah, just sit back Freya, we’ll take care of it.”

The sacks of bug eggs stuck on the rocky walls were the exact shape to trigger Freya’s phobia of critters.

The eggs themselves let out a faint blue glow inside, and that was the ingredient they had been looking for.
They carefully removed one sack, including some of the rock it was adhered to.

“Alright… Let’s go back to Floria now, everyone else is probably done by now too!”

Just as Crim thought… By the time they made it back to Floria, they found the front of Selena’s home packed with all sorts of materials and ingredients.

A surprising number of everything had been collected too, giving Selena enough leeway to fail plenty of times before perfecting the concoction.

“This result should’ve been obvious from the moment I agreed to help.”
“We’re doing this to help a small kid, right? So we pulled out all the stops to bring everything here!”

A girl with blonde drill curls spoke smugly, while an intrepid knight followed her up… They were White Lily and Elmir, who had also joined the gathering efforts.

Selena was shocked by the quantity of items brought to her home, while the various Guild Masters of the United Kingdoms continued to flaunt their success.

“…I mean, children are the most valuable treasure after all. Especially for a species with such low birthrates like us elves.”
“No factions or movements matter when it comes to protecting them.”

Then a young elf from the traditional faction joined the conversation, followed by a female soldier from the reconciliation movement, both of whom had also helped gather the materials.

With time, more materials arrived and joined the pile, brought by people from all sorts of species and factions.

“Humhumm, it always feels nice to work together to help someone!”
“I know!”
“Oh sure, bask in all the glory when I did most of the work, you two freeloaders!”

Da’at and Haru shared a high-five, and Suzaku interjected angrily, making everyone laugh.

That warm and friendly environment continued…until finally all the ingredients were there.

“…Thank you, really, thank you so much everyone.”
“Mhm, but this is as far as our aid may reach. Now… only thou canst help thy brother.”
“…I’ll do my best!”

Tears rolled down her cheeks as she gave them a bright smile, which felt like the best reward everyone there could have received.

*”Alright, I just need someone to stay next to her to keep the call going.”*
“Master, I’ll take care of that duty.”

There was no way of teaching her without a call, so Jade requested for a player to remain with Selena, and Setsuna volunteered to do it right away. She picked up all the materials and went into the house with Selena, who looked nervous to begin.

*Now it’s all up to her.*

They had gathered an excess of materials just in case, but that was all they could help with. Now they could only pray and hope it would work out.

…After everyone watched the girl go into her home…

“Everyone…thank you for what you did here.”

A new voice joined them all of a sudden.
It was Sven, who had remained to guard the city while everyone was gone.

“I can’t thank you enough for everything you’re doing to help my sister and our dear citizens of Floria.”
“Oh… I have but now realized we took all the guards with us as well. Pray forgive me for laying all the burden of guarding upon thee, Sven.”
“No no, there’s no need to thank me. If anything, I wish I could’ve done more to help.”

Since most of the guards and those who could fight had gone to collect materials, Sven could not bring himself to leave Floria unprotected, even if he wanted to go as well… Still, he was thankful from the bottom of his heart as he bowed to Crim.

“Lady Crim, Lady Freya, and Lord Frey, I’ve also come as a humble servant to Her Majesty the Queen, who wishes to invite you to a tea party. There will be plenty, so everyone present here is welcome to join us as well.”

Saying that, he handed Crim a sealed letter, and then turned to face the traditional faction and their leader Lawran.

“…And that includes you too, Lord Lawran and your people. Her Majesty mentioned she’d like to talk with you as well.”
“I see… Well, I’ll gladly oblige then.”

Sven said that with a more firm voice, and Lawran gave a nod while also taking it seriously.

Crim and Lawran were invited… That made her think that the queen was trying to keep the momentum going and put an end to their internal conflicts now.

“Well then, Demon Lord, I’ll take my leave now.”

With her work gathering materials done, White Lily, the leader of Lily Garden…who also happened to hold the position of the Lua Cheia United Kingdoms’ Managerial Advisor, turned around and tried to make a quick retreat…but Crim firmly took hold of her shoulder.

“Oh no, White Lily. Thou shalt be coming with us… I shall not let thee slip away from this.”
“That just validates my suspicions that you’re trying to push more annoying work onto me!!”

She raised her voice in protest…but sadly she was going to be needed in the discussions that would start soon.
The princess-like girl with drill curls continued to make her dissatisfaction heard as they all followed the elves to attend the queen’s tea party.
