Project GB is an official initiative by Re:Library.

After joining the rest, Kou ordered a soy milk coffee, Danish pastry, and a portion of soft serve ice cream, all long standing staples of desserts. Once they arrived, Reo seemed to think of something as he raised his voice.

“This reminds me, I haven’t congratulated you on founding your nation yet.”
“Ah, thank you. Sadly I don’t have as much experience being a ruler as you…”

The warm pastry and the cold of the ice cream created a curious sensation in Kou’s mouth as she replied to Reo.

“So…are you going to go then? To finish taking over the southwest area I mean.”
“We’re always ready to help if you need it.”

Reo and Reinhard suggested that, but Kou shook her head in response.

“I appreciate the offer, but I don’t think it’d be a good idea to accept help from another nation on our first campaign…”
“Well, fair enough.”
“Are you really going to be okay? I watched the previous stream and it was obvious you can’t handle horror at all.”

When Reinhard mentioned that, Kou smiled confidently to announce something.

“It’ll be fine. I’ve been training for it.”
“…Training?”
“…What’s that about? You’ve never mentioned it before.”

Kasumi and Subaru were also taken by surprise, but Kou placed her hand to her chest in a prideful manner.

“I had Hijiri accompany me for it, but I actually watched a bunch of horror movies.”

The smugness of Kou’s face was almost audible as she said that, but everyone there realized something else. Basically…they had just been having movie dates. Their doubtful eyes turned over to Hijiri…

“Mhm, mhm, Kou tried really hard.” Hijiri grinned while saying that.

Everyone quickly caught on. Hijiri had said that Kou tried, but hadn’t mentioned anything about how well she did.

“So…how did it go?”

Kasumi finally gathered the courage to ask directly, but Hijiri just kept grinning and said nothing more, scooping up a spoonful of Mont Blanc and eating it instead.

Ah, she really is helpless.

Everyone except the two of them thought that at the same time, though they also silently agreed not to bring it up.

The group dispersed after leaving the cafe, with Kou walking back home alongside Hijiri and Subaru until they reached her front door. From there, the twins continued on toward their own home.

“I’m home!”

Her parents weren’t expected back that day, so normally the house would be silent, with no one to answer her call. But this time…

“Welcome back, sister!”

A cheerful voice greeted her, then a figure appeared right next to Kou— Rouge, materializing like a hologram.

“Hello Rouge. Were you a good girl today?”
“Yes I was! Adonis has also been praising me a lot more for my work as a maid lately!”

Rouge walked alongside Kou as she went to her room, happily talking about her day so far, and Kou was more than happy to listen.

“Anyway… You’ll come over here later, won’t you?”
“Mhm, of course. There’s a few things I have to do there too.”

Rouge sounded worried, so Crim gently patted her head while replying. That made her smile happily, her eyes filled with relief.

Her plans involved Galardia Bridge, where she had invested her personal funds to repair the upper deck, which would turn into an aerial passage that a large army could easily traverse. And those repairs would be completed that day.

That way they would be able to go from the Howling Ogre Ridge to Garland Citadel without having to encounter all of the undead loitering around the lower deck of the bridge, making it much more practical to travel.

Past the bridge was the first major task for the Lua Cheia United Kingdom, conquering Garland Citadel. And then…they would finally uncover the southwestern edge of the continent.

“I’ll get my homework done, prepare dinner, and then I’ll jump straight in. It might take a bit of time, so get some rest while you can.”
“Okayyy.”

Rouge gave a straightforward reply.

Having conversations like that made Kou feel like she actually had a little sister with her, making her smile without her realizing.

“I’ll make sure me and Adonis have some tea ready!”

Saying that, the girl vanished. Kou looked at the spot where Rouge had been standing a moment earlier, thinking back to all the events that made it possible for her to appear like that within the Mitsuki household.

…Thanks to the joint effort of Sora and Kaname, Rouge’s personal data was transferred over to the Mitsuki household’s homeserver.

Now she had limited control over the home control systems, as well as the ability to appear in front of everyone wearing a NLD.

At the same time, Amari had seen a big business opportunity in it, allowing people to bring out their in-game pets to interact with them in the real world just like Rouge, and now was securing funding from various sources to work upon it.

It’s almost like they’re ill or something…

Kou let out a sigh, thinking of her parents that acted like they would die if they stopped working, like some sort of shark that would pass away without swimming.
