Project GB is an official initiative by Re:Library.

Having arranged that impromptu studying session, to which Reo swiftly joined, the group left that school building.

“…Ah, Lord Reo, I see you’ve made it out safely!”

A small figure said that while running up to the group… It was someone wearing a junior high school uniform.

Silky blond hair framed a face with features so delicate it resembled a girl’s. With his petite frame, it would have been easy to mistake him for a girl if he wore a female uniform… but he was a boy.

He hurried toward Reo, but as soon as he caught sight of Kou, he immediately turned his attention to her instead.

“…Ah, could you be Crim and the rest of Lua Cheia?!”
“Huh? Ah, yeah…”
“Ohh, you look just like Crim in-game too. Woahh…I’m so impressed!”

As that pretty boy began to closely examine Kou, she looked at Reo, seeking some form of salvation.

Reo, who had been watching with an awkward smile, flinched when he saw Kou’s expression and quickly pulled the boy away.

“Please forgive him. Let me introduce him. He comes from my hometown, and he transferred here with me. His name is…”
“My deepest apologies, I got a bit carried away. I’m Reinhard, Lord Reo’s valet.”

He stood upright and gave a polite bow while introducing himself. It was clear that his manners were rigorously trained.

“Really sorry about that, he’s been a big fan of yours from the very beginning…back in your potato girl days. Try to understand him.”
“…Now that’s a name I haven’t heard in a while.”

That was the first nickname Kou had ever been given, even before her guild had a name. It brought back a flood of memories.

“Ah, then are you…”
“Yes, I’m sure my name gave it away, but I’m the same Reinhard of Nord Glacier. I’m honored to make your acquaintance on this side as well.”

He beamed a friendly smile as he said that. That smile fit perfectly with his rosy cheeks, and he would likely be popular amongst older girls with certain inclinations…

“So you faked your age when you made your avatar, huh.”

As Subaru pointed out, the Reinhard in-game looked like a high schooler, a year or two older than Kou and the rest, while the boy in front of them was around three or four years younger than that.

“Ahahah… It’s just that I wouldn’t be taken seriously as an aide looking like this, so I based my avatar on my older brother.”
“Ohh, you have an older brother?”
“Yes, two of them in fact. The oldest one has been helping my parents with their business…actually they’re in the process of handing all of it down to him. My second brother works under him too. I’m the third son and nothing’s being passed down to me, I was free to choose my own path. That’s when Lord Reo’s aunt suggested I become his valet.”

He briefly summed up the events that led to him being there. But something he mentioned stood out a lot to Kou.

“Umm… You mentioned it before too, but you’re a valet?”
“Ahahah, I guess that’s not something people are familiar with in this country. But it’s something common even for children where we come from.”

Everyone nodded in unison, understanding a bit better. Slowly, they were starting to get the feeling that Reo and Reinhard were something like nobles from another country…

“Hey, Kou, maybe they actually are nobles? It’s my first time seeing someone like that.”
“Mhm, I know, it really feels like that…”

Even Kou was starting to be convinced that Reo might even be a prince, considering his manners and Reinhard’s presence. Kou and his friends were still a bit stunned, as nobility and royalty by blood had become a foreign concept in their modern culture.

Before heading to the library to study, they realized it was already noon. That obviously meant lunch time, but as everyone had assumed they would head home for that, no one had packed anything to eat.

They went to the student center to buy some bread and snacks, then found a place to sit and eat. Though Kou knew it wasn’t polite, she decided to overlook that and pulled out her textbooks to begin reviewing while eating.

“I see… You’ve been advancing at a faster pace than I anticipated. I’m glad I decided to check with you, thank you.”
“You’re welcome. But you’ve already studied more advanced stuff too, haven’t you?”
“Hahah… My grandfather is pretty hardcore when it comes to teaching, so yes.”

Reo grimaced a little as he said that, while Reinhard had a vacant look in his eyes, having flashbacks of those spartan lessons.

Kou had met that grandfather before, the principal of the school, back on Kanai Island. He seemed like a well natured old man. But Kou could easily imagine he became almost a different person when it came to teaching.

“Hm… We might have just agreed to give a hand to our biggest rival here.”
“Aww… I can already feel myself dropping another rank…”

When Kou muttered that, Kasumi replied, sounding the most dejected. She felt like she had no chance to keep up if even Kou, who had the best grades in the group, was talking like that.

I don’t want to lose to him.

Usually, Kou never cared about how her test results compared to her peers, but something about this situation had stirred a competitive fire in her.

“Well…if you’re already giving me a hand, mind telling me if there’s anything I should watch out for before the test?”
“Ah, I don’t think there’s anything like that. The test is basically just to double check whether you’ve done your summer homework or not.”
“Hmmm… So there shouldn’t be any tricky questions or anything like that?”
“Not really. As long as you do a quick review of everything, you should be set.”

Kou said that like it was a really simple thing to do, and Reo nodded attentively.

“Ahh yes… Said like a pair of overachievers…”

It was common for Kou’s friends to point out that she was smart, but terrible at teaching. But somehow, Reo seemed to be on the same level as her, and they communicated with ease.

Only Kasumi was suffering, glaring at her notes while letting out groans, and resenting how easy those two had it. Everyone else nodded, sympathizing with her.
