“An equal status between dragons?…” Mo Li chuckled dryly a few times. “Miss Dragon sure knows how to crack a joke. Clearly, the only dragon here is you. Where did the second one come from?”

Elsa maintained her silence, the mischievous smile on her face sending a numbing sensation down Mo Li’s scalp. “You know, for creatures such as pigs, I feel a special affection,” she stated, her voice icy enough to conceal the smile on her face.

“Really? It’s a very unique preference.”

“Do you know why I like pigs?”

“Why?” Mo Li’s voice quivered weakly.

“Because they’re incredibly cute, especially when they’ve grasped a situation but insist on acting foolish and puzzled.”

“…” Mo Li’s voice and thoughts abruptly halted, stunned by Elsa’s words.

“Now you understand what I said to you before.” Elsa lifted Mo Li’s chin. “Twerp, you were never a human.”

“?!” Decades of self-identity as a human were resolutely shattered in an instant. This heavy blow sent Mo Li into a disorientated daze. “I’m not human? I’m not human?” Mo Li repeated in disbelief. Taking this opportunity, Elsa at the side affectionately retrieved the small mirror once again, letting Mo Li look at her own face while continuing to coax.

“Do you see now? This is who you really are. You’ve lived for over ten years, yet you know nothing about your identity or race. What am I even supposed to say to you?” The corners of Elsa’s mouth curved into a pretty but bone-chilling smile.

Mo Li, the captivating reflection in the mirror, showed no interest in indulging in self-admiration. Instead, her heart burned like smoldering ashes. Who wouldn’t desire a beautiful woman with long legs, a slender waist, fair skin, and generous curves? But once these attributes are adorned on one’s own body, it becomes a completely different story! After the shock of a complete shift in gender and race, Mo Li’s mind became overwhelmed with stimuli, leading to a cognitive overload, causing it to crash, evident in the spiking of her Ahoge resembling an antenna.

I finally got the chance to be reborn and avoid the BADEND world line. These two sources of happiness combined should have equaled an even greater joy. However, why did life have to give me another ****** surprise? How did things come to this?…

Revisiting the events of this evening from the very beginning. Mo Li was reborn. Yes, just like those far-fetched epics about heroes, he was actually reborn! However, his rebirth did not take him back to the womb to start anew. Instead, he found himself transported to the exact moment when he made a pivotal mistake—the very mistake that led him to commit a grave sin, setting him on a path of destruction. As a commoner, he engaged in the assassination of a noble for a ludicrous reason.

The ordeal started when the eldest miss of a noble house, whom he deeply admired, unexpectedly approached him. She lamented about how her fiancé was mistreating her, causing Mo Li to hastily conclude that her betrothed was irredeemably evil. Mo Li was an orphan who had grown up in the slums without a father or mother. Given his pitiful background and economic situation, attending school was simply an impossibility for him. It was only through funding from this eldest miss’s family that he was able to attend school, Mo Li knew to be grateful; he was aware that if it wasn’t for this charitable and generous noble family, he could have easily fallen into the ranks of street gangs, and who knows when he might have become an unwanted corpse in some obscure corner of the slums.

Because of his youthful and impulsive nature, he was eager to repay his benefactor but also completely oblivious to schemes and trickery. In his hot-headedness, he blindly rushed to a conclusion without considering the situation. To him, who was born as an assassin, this was his sole opportunity to repay the eldest miss. Thus, on a dark and windy night, he set out on his mission. To his surprise, things went even smoother than he had imagined, perhaps a little too smooth.
As Mo Li observed the noble lying in a pool of his own blood, he inhaled deeply. Knowing his fate, all he could do was sever any ties he had with the eldest miss to spare her family from any repercussions. He was already prepared to be cornered by the knights of justice, arrested, and then ultimately executed. Such was an ending befitting a despicable assassin like himself.

This is what Mo Li thought and did. However, during his escape, he incidentally learned the truth of the matter, which caused him to change his mind. On the surface, the nobles providing money for poor children to go to school appeared benevolent, giving them a facade of righteousness. However, beneath this facade, their true purpose was to raise puppets who would willingly sacrifice themselves and serve as the white gloves of these noble houses.

The eldest miss betrothed herself to the young and heirless nobleman, for the sole reason of secretly assassinating him. With this cunning scheme, it ensured that in accordance with the law, all possessions under the young nobleman’s name would belong to his fiancée. It became apparent to Mo Li that this was just a noble house swallowing up the lineage of another noble house.

The reason why his assassination went so smoothly was because there were nobles assisting him from the shadows, yet all the blame was placed on him. In this drama, he was nothing more than a disposable pawn. After the assassination, the very noble family that used him swiftly issued an arrest warrant for him, righteously declaring the intention of bringing their future son-in-law’s killer to justice.

What was most difficult for Mo Li to bear was not being used as a pawn, but the fact that the nobleman he killed was not a heinous *******, but rather a noble of high moral standing who was also well-respected among the common people. Crossing his bottom line of killing innocents was something Mo Li found most insufferable. Even though he regretted his actions, it was too late now.

A commoner killing a noble was also a clear challenge to the position of the nobles. Consequently, Mo Li became a wanted fugitive pursued by nobles from across all human countries. He tirelessly fled from one place to another, chased relentlessly by various knight orders, akin to a rat crossing through a busy street. Finally, at the end of his rope, Mo Li joined a cult. Relying on his nimble and decisive assassination skills, he quickly became a proficient subordinate of the cult leader, opposing the righteous forces as a show of gratitude for the leader’s shelter and protection. During his time as a cultist, his assassination skills continued to improve, and he carried out many assassinations on a plethora of useless and pretentious nobles. However, after years of desperately clinging to life, he was once again confronted with betrayal.

In the cult’s hideout, facing the crusade led personally by the princess of the Papal States, Mo Li, who had been abandoned, realized his impending doom. Why abandon me?! His answer was in the form of a letter left to him by the cult leader. A blunt blade is hard to use. A blunt blade is hard to use?… True, I’m not a qualified blade. Mo Li never killed innocents or ordinary people. This was his principle, his bottom line, and a qualified blade could have no principles or bottom line. During his bitter reminiscence, the brittle door was violently smashed to pieces.

Looking up at the cherry-haired girl who was dazzling and gorgeous beyond belief, like an angel descending from the skies, Mo Li took a deep breath.
“Cultist, your luck has run out.” Her voice was like that of a black-naped oriole singing, but it also sounded Mo Li’s death knell. Faced with this accusation, Mo Li didn’t deny it. Instead, he decided to use everything he had learned in life till the end. But a commoner like Mo Li going against the princess of the Papal States, who possessed the golden divine phoenix bloodline, eventually pushed him to his limits.

Without a bloodline himself, it was a purely one-sided beatdown, with him on the back foot. In the presence of a golden bloodline, his assassination skills were rendered as nothing more than a mere joke. This also is the crutch of the reason why commoners could never surpass the nobles. The inherent power bestowed upon them by their bloodlines created an uncrossable divide between the two classes. Mo Li was battered and pushed to his limits, gazing at the divine phoenix girl soaring in the sky; his heart stirred with a strange sense of unwillingness, causing an outburst of laughter.

“You’re right, I’m a cultist, not wrong, but aside from one thing, I have never done anything to be ashamed of! For the events that lead up to today, I have no one to blame but myself, I admit that. But it shouldn’t be you, you sanctimonious people, judging me!” Finishing his words, Mo Li jumped off a cliff ending his previous life.
