Next day in the morning Marcus still didn’t get up. Me and Elenore took the carriage and decided to visit the town first since I didn’t get a chance to see it. Our plan was to head to the royal capital and hope we would get some cash from this fan I have. But if I take Elenore with me from now on, I got to get her to fight.

Lucky for me I had some equipment in my inventory left. Stuff I never used. It was equipment with no level restriction. But it was probably around lvl 50 in terms of strength. It was made for people to power level their alts. I only had it for collection purpose.

On our way we saw some small boar looking monsters so I had Elenore practice a bit. She has a natural talent for swordplay. Fighting the boars for a while also raised her level. And now that we are a party I can see her full stats.

Elenore

Level – 15

HP – 13508

MP – 200

Attack Power – 7355

Defense – 8520

Agility- 6510

Most of the stats came from the gear. She should be stronger than any knight as long as she wears that. I know. You’re probably thinking that the stats are still too low for a level 50 gear. But there’s a cap. The armor will gradually make you stronger as you level up. Up to a point that is. In Astral Storm Online stats only start drastically increasing once you get in the level 30 range and get your first class advancement.

We eventually reached the town, Elenore threw a question at me.

“Do you have any money, Izuna?”

“Umm… no. That’s why we’re going to the royal palace. To get money.”

Sigh

“Just as I thought. We should stop by the adventurer guild hall and register as adventures. The trip to the royal palace takes 2 weeks. Even if we sleep outdoors… we still need food and provisions.”

Ah. She’s right. As expected, there’s a lot I need to learn. I can’t treat this world as game. Stuff like food is still necessary.

“Alright. I’ll follow your lead.”

~~~~~~
The city Oriana. It was one of the major towns on the Magnolia Kingdom. Thick walls, guards and knights patrolling the streets, abundent markets. It was bustling with life.
In a certain inn, 3 people were sitting around at a table.
“She’s late!”
A handsome young tall man with short black hair, red eyes and wearing shining silver armor with gold triming and a red cape said those words.
“Calm down, you big siscon.”
The one that replied was the other young man. A fellow with gold eyes and spikey brown hair pointed upwards, wearing leather and a green cape with a hood, almost giving a Robin Hood like feeling.
“Say that again and I’ll punch you in the face.”
“But he has a point. She’s a big girl now. I’m sure she’ll be here soon.”
The 3rd person was a girl with pink hair wrapped in two fluffy short twintails. She had green eyes and was wearing a blue armor like top, a skirt and boots up to her knees.
These 3 were all members of the famous adventurer party [Soaring Skyes]. The lvl 24 archer Edgar, the lvl 22 rogue Leona and the lvl 26 knight, second prince, Julius Magnolia. They were waiting in this inn for their forth party member. And just when Julius was about to get up from the table…
“Hello everyone! Sorry… I’m late.”
With an innocent smile on the par of angels, the one that they were waiting for has finally arrived.
“Iris! You’re finally here. Your brother was almost ready to flip the table.”
“Shut up! I was perfectly calm. I knew there was nothing to worry. After all, Iris has the worst sense of direction, so I knew she would be late.”
Stares…
“Thank you for worrying about me, Onii-san. But as you can see I’m alright. I ran into some trouble on the way here, and that’s why I’m late. A horde of goblins attacked us.”
“What? Are you sure you are alright? Did they hurt you? I knew father should have sent more soldiers.”
“Calm down, Onii-san. I was saved by a nice lady. She was really strong and annihilated all the goblins by herself.”
“A lady you say? What does she look like?”
“Onii-san… are you interested in women? Ecchi.”
Edgar and Leona couldn’t help but burst into laughter.
“It doesn’t matter, anymore! The thing is that you’re here now.”
“Yeah. We can’t go on a quest without our healer.”
“Iris, you really need to improve your skills!”
“Edgar… you do realize I have the power to decide who lives and who dies, right?”
Although Iris had a smile on her face, Edgar really trembled in his seat and Leona even cracked a joke ‘why are you messing with the healer, they’re the scariest class’. An atmosphere like this was common for [Soaring Skyes].
People often wonder why did the king allow his children to become adventurers. The reason is that the king had to face many enemies when he established this country. Politics is one thing, but strength and warfare is also needed. So he gave his children special gear and allowed them to form parties and go on various quests.
Of course, the king wouldn’t allow anything to happen to his kids, so he also had a few members of his stealth force watch over them from the shadow. The King wanted his kids to get independent and face various obstacles head on, so they can be prepared for any situation in life. Edgar and Leona were childhood friends of the duo. They weren’t nobles. More like they were hired to play and grow up with Julius and Iris.
“Anyway, Iris, we found this sweet dungeon. Our party should be able to handle it. If we complete this quest not only will we get a nice reward and become more famous, but we’ll also gain a ton of experience and level up lots. After this quest we can all get a class advancement!”
“You sound confident. But can we really do it?”
“Yeah! If we work together, there’s nothing we can’t do! After all, we need to catch up to big sis.”
“Julius, you know that Beatrix is a prodigy. I don’t even know if we can reach her level.”
“When there’s a will, there’s a way! Hard work will always be rewarded! Now let’s go!”
And so, the 4 people prepared to head out on their adventure. But after going through all the details, Iris couldn’t help but ask herself.
I wonder how strong THAT person is? Is she as strong as big sis? I wonder what sort of training did she endure.
