At first glance, it resembled a vast white dome—perhaps fog, clouds, or even a plume of smoke—completely enveloping Faximile, the capital of the Aeon Holy Kingdom, renowned as a land of fantasy.
“I’d estimate it to be around 50 to 60 kilometers in diameter,” I remarked.
From the Sky Garden’s Control Room, which we had lowered to a perilously low altitude, I monitored the situation on the ground. Lowering such a massive floating landmass—vast enough to rival a small nation—was a dangerous gamble. The shifts in atmospheric and wind pressure could easily have caused catastrophic damage, but the gravity of the situation outweighed these risks. I was prepared to accept some collateral damage if necessary.
“The exact diameter of the white dome is 52.654 kilometers,” reported Susa, one of the Seven Beasts of Calamity, with his usual stately tone. “However, it’s continuing to expand without pause.”
Susa, the «Gazer» of the Seven Beasts of Calamity and one of our top analysts, stood amidst the packed Control Room. Even the Demon Generals had gathered here today, the atmosphere heavy with tension.
“Can you calculate the potential damage?” I asked.
Susa responded without hesitation, “If the current speed and rate of expansion remain constant, the white dome will completely engulf the Holy Kingdom of Aeon in 46 hours and 52 minutes. In approximately 359 hours—roughly 15 days—it will consume the entire planet. As for this continent, it will be overtaken in just 8 and a half days. However, without the ability to observe what’s happening inside, predicting additional adverse effects is impossible.”
“Is there no way to use clairvoyance to see what’s happening inside?” I pressed.
“Even with advanced optical magic and my full array of techniques, everything is being completely repelled by the dome’s surface,” Susa replied, his frustration barely concealed.
If even Susa—renowned as «One Who Sees» and jokingly dubbed «The Peeping Tom»—couldn’t penetrate it, then we were clearly dealing with something extraordinarily dangerous.
“It seems Lord Ikaruga has decided to investigate the situation personally,” Susa remarked, gesturing toward the monitor.
Prompted by Susa’s words, I turned toward the monitor and spotted a multi-faceted crystalline entity—«Yog-Sothoth» Ikaruga of the Thirteen Demon Generals—projecting beams of multicolored light at the dome’s gauzy surface. Ikaruga’s observational skills were on par with, if not superior to, Susa’s.
“…Red beams, UV rays, visible light, X-rays, high-frequency waves, electromagnetic waves—all of it is being reflected or redirected by the dome, with its energy fully conserved,” Susa observed, his tone tinged with fascination. “It’s incredible. No matter the angle or direction, all forms of energy converge in one direction. Could the gravitational forces inside be similarly isolated? If so, placing a pulley at the boundary might allow it to revolve perpetually, essentially creating a perpetual motion machine.”
Whoa, whoa—what’s with all this complex mumbo-jumbo? Sure, I’ve always known everyone here was way stronger than me—even though I’m their so-called master—but since when did they start throwing around world-class scientific theories? I mean, it’s too late to question this now, but seriously, when did they all turn into geniuses?!
“So, no attack based on conventional physical laws will have any effect… Well then, it’s time for Lord Ikaruga to unveil his trump card,” Susa declared with calm confidence.
“Trump card?” I asked, curious.
“Yes,” Susa explained, “it’s an observation method that utilizes dimensional waves. Nothing confined within the three-dimensional plane can remain hidden from this technique. And—oh, it’s starting now.”
At the cue, I narrowed my gaze and saw the tips of the tentacles covering Ikaruga’s crystalline body begin to glow. He turned to face the white curtain and unleashed a spirited scream.
“Dimensional-Waves-Implosion-Radiation-Super-Ultra-Furious-Decaying-Amped-Gravitation Wave—Fire!”
“What’s with that ridiculously long name?! And why all the theatrics?!” I blurted out in disbelief.
Susa, hearing my outburst, calmly explained as though it were the most natural thing in the world.
“By forming a micro black hole and accelerating antiparticles—time-reversed counterparts of baryon particles—Lord Ikaruga can manipulate space, expand dimensions linearly, and leap through time and space for observation,” Susa explained with maddening precision.
“…I see,” I mumbled, though I understood absolutely nothing.
Excuse me, what? Not a single word of that explanation made sense. From what I could gather, it was an incredibly over-the-top technique. Since these so-called “Dimensional-Whatever Gravitational Waves” were invisible, I could do nothing but wait with a blank expression.
Momentarily, the massive crystalline eye of Ikaruga began to glow.
“I’ve pierced through! Let’s take a look—wait, what the hell?! The three-dimensional space is cloaked in isolated imaginary space?!”
Ikaruga’s voice wavered, uncharacteristically shaken. As for his findings… well, I had long since given up trying to understand the avalanche of scientific jargon.

“Here’s the gist, cutting straight to the point—this world will cease to exist in two weeks,” Ikaruga concluded bluntly.
The following day, after identifying the anomaly in the Holy Kingdom, I summoned an emergency meeting using the teleporter. The top officials of the Imperial Crimson’s vassal states, alongside leaders from allied nations, were now assembled in the Sky Garden’s conference room as I delivered the grim news.
“Excuse me… what?”
The gathered representatives looked utterly baffled. Among them were King Collard of the Amitia Republic, a vassal state located in the continent’s western region; Representative Revan, leader of the Cres Freedom United Nation, which now dominated nearly the entire southern region; Princess Oliana, the future empress of the Graviol Empire—the continent’s largest power governing the eastern front; and Illustrated Priestess Eleanor, the sole representative of the northern region, a patchwork of smaller nations.
“This is neither an exaggeration nor a jest. The mysterious phenomenon—we’ve tentatively named it the «Void Mist»—continues to expand as we speak. In fact, half of the Holy Kingdom has already been engulfed by it,” I stated with unwavering seriousness.
As I spoke, a real-time aerial projection of the affected region was displayed for all to see.
“——?!?!?!”
The moment they witnessed the projection, the gravity of the situation dawned on them. Their faces turned pale as the horrifying reality set in.
“The Void Mist is completely impervious to all forms of attack and attributes. We’ve tested everything—physical strikes, spells, sorcery—you name it, and nothing has had any effect,” I continued gravely.
