The gentleman finally understood he had been mistaken the entire time.

“Ahh! Why didn’t I think of that! I’m terribly sorry for requesting that of you. It’s exceedingly rare to see women in these streets who aren’t Evening Ladies, so I didn’t even entertain that possibility. I don’t know how I can possibly make it up to you… Ahh, I know, please take this. It’s a coupon you can use in any of the establishments here. Now, I’ll let you find the perfect place to enjoy the night of your dreams, good bye.”

Once again he spoke so quickly Mira could not get any words in, ending with a meaningful smile before he turned around and left, mumbling, “that girl and an Evening Lady…!” as his shoulders twitched with excitement.

In the end, the gentlemen had misunderstood Mira’s objective in the red-light district, leading to various yuri scenes to play out in his mind.

“No, I’m not…!”

Even as Mira tried to deny it, the gentleman was too far to hear anything. He was already used to having such conversations on a regular basis, and he made sure to greet every single woman he passed by, without hesitating or wasting any time.

His behavior and manners were certainly befitting of a gentleman, but from the instant he spoke to Mira, she also knew that he was a pervert.

“I guess he’s something like an expert of the red-light district.”

His familiarity with everything going on there, and his perverse nature that shone through his words, made Mira question whether he could be August. But Wooftson shook his head.

He did not have anything to do with August, he was just a pervert gentleman.
Then she recalled the coupon he had placed in her hands, becoming shocked to realize that it was not a meagre ten or twenty percent off, but a half off coupon.

He was not just a gentleman, but also generous enough to give out such an item. That was a small taste of the nature hidden in the red-light district for Mira, and she sneakily stashed the coupon in her pocket before resuming her search.

She went along the main street of the red-light district, which the pervert gentleman had called the road of dreams.
Wooftson continued sniffing the air for traces of August’s scent, while Mira looked at the establishments, eventually finding the one she just heard about, Miracle Heaven.

(Ohh… It does look new, and completely different from the others.)

At first sight, that establishment could be confused with a cafe. And the woman standing at the entrance was wearing a maid outfit.
Miracle Heaven turned out to be centered around cosplay and various “experiences”.

Even as Mira processed it all, she watched a man going together with a woman in a schoolgirl uniform to one of the interior rooms.

That gave enough time for Mira to spot the pervert gentleman from earlier, also waiting for his turn inside. It did not matter how long it took, he was determined to complete everything Miracle Heaven had to offer. He stood there in silence, imposing like a sleeping dragon.

An establishment that could get such a reaction from a man like him, was sure to succeed. Mira let out a silent prayer for the pervert gentleman’s stamina, and moved on.

(It’s not even noon and it’s already this busy, I wonder what it looks like at night.)

The red-light district clearly merited being separate from the pleasure district, with all the highest level establishments being there, and conveying a distinct appearance to the streets. They also covered any imaginable genre or fetish, and anyone who visited was sure to find exactly what they needed to make their dreams a reality.

A city for adults, where they could get the night of a lifetime. Not to mention that even during the day they already got plenty of clients, which would multiply by the time the sun set.

Such crowded streets would also hinder Mira’s investigation.
So it was best if she got it done before that happened. Making up her mind, she pressed on down the street, and after ignoring countless men who believed her an escort, she got within two hundred meters of the castle.

“Dear owner, I’ve caught a whiff of the scent, woof!”

Even while pretending to be a plushie, Wooftson had continued sniffing around, finally discovering one that matched August’s.

“Ohh, good job! Now where to?!”
“That direction, woof!”

Wooftson’s nose was impossible to trick, so going in that direction would certainly lead them to August.
Mira began running in the indicated direction, barely paying attention to the establishments that ranged from vanilla to extreme fetishes as she passed by.
When she stopped, she found herself in front of one that resembled a family restaurant.

“Could they really pull off such a…wait, is this..?”

A family restaurant and waitresses, Mira could not help but praise the lengths they went to fulfill such a fetish as well, but then she took a closer look inside.
The interior was quite large, with clear visibility. And the clients inside were not just men, but also a few women were sitting there.
Even more surprisingly, they were all eating normally. It was actually just a regular restaurant serving regular food, despite being located so deep within the red-light district.

“And that food looks so good…”

The overall appearance resembled that of a family restaurant, but the food on the tables was all first class.
From what Mira could see, that seemed to be the main place where the women working in the red-light district went to rest. She could see a few sitting together relaxing or chatting together, overall giving the restaurant a peaceful air.

“Welcome! Would you like a table for one?”

As Mira looked at the restaurant’s tables, a waitress greeted her, and since Wooftson’s plushie act was so perfect, she barely glanced at him before asking that. She did not even question whether Wooftson could be a pet.

“Yes.”

The waitress continued, “Then please sit down wherever you like,” guiding Mira inside.
In reality Mira was not there to eat, she was searching for August, but she would get weird looks if she even alluded to that, so she played along and began walking amongst the tables.

As far as she could see, there were five men currently there. Two of them were close enough that she could Examine them to check their names.
Neither of them were August, which left the other three as suspects.
She pretended to continue looking for a good spot, moving closer to the other three.

‘Dear owner, the scent is coming from that direction, woof.’

But then Wooftson intervened, pointing to a direction completely different from the remaining three.
