“…Don’t you think you’ve been a little too busy lately?”

Hearing Aleksei say this in the carriage on their way back from the Jursein Mansion, Ekaterina’s eyes widened.
She was the one who always said that, yet here was her brother telling her she was too busy.

“Not at all. Compared to you, Onii-sama, I can’t possibly call myself busy.”
“I’m used to it. Everything around me is well-organized, so there’s nothing for you to worry about. Above all, our stamina is different. But you…”

Aleksei suddenly reached out and stroked Ekaterina’s indigo hair.

“At the academy, you devote yourself to your studies and pour your heart into your friends; at home, you’re learning the unfamiliar role of a lady of the house while simultaneously building a new career for yourself at the glass workshop. On top of that, you’re breaking into new markets with innovative products—it can’t be easy. And above all, you’re a delicate young lady. I can’t help but worry when I see you like this.”
“Oh, Onii-sama…”

Ekaterina smiled.

“I’m well aware of my own limits, you know.”

After all, it’s me.
The gal who’s actually died from overwork once!

Ekaterina feels a slight sense of smug satisfaction inside.

I’ve actually experienced firsthand just how much work it takes to die, so I understand better than anyone that I mustn’t cross that line.
From that perspective, what I’m doing now is no big deal. It’s just a fulfilling daily life.

Or so thinks this corporate slave with warped standards. Even if she dies, she never stops being a corporate slave.

“For me, it’s nothing but fun. Just a little while ago, I spent a delightful moment with Uncle Dmitry. I suppose, strictly speaking, I should be devoting myself to socializing with young ladies of my own age, in a manner befitting my station. However, for me, socializing with my peers is an unknown world. In fact, socializing seems so unfamiliar and even a bit frightening to me. After all, when I’m working in the workshop, I get to be with you like this, Onii-sama. I feel at ease, and I can simply spend my time feeling happy and joyful.”

Smiling brightly, Aleksei looked at his sister, his eyes shining.

“Ekaterina.”

He took her hand and gently held it.

“You are always kind and wise. And you possess the sense of responsibility and pride befitting the mistress of Jurnova. I’m so happy to have a sister like you. That’s exactly why I can’t help but worry about you. I don’t want to lose you under any circumstances. Promise me you won’t take on any more responsibilities.”
“Yes. If that is what you wish, Onii-sama, I will do exactly as you say.”

Onii-sama really is such a siscon, huh?

When it comes to work at the glass studio, if I just ask, all sorts of people help me out and make my ideas a reality. I can’t really say I’m “working” at all.

In my past life, even in situations where I thought, “This is the only way to pull off this disaster of a project!”—I’d run around laying the groundwork, have the site manager review it over and over before the client’s approval meeting, then get a pre-review from their direct supervisor, and on top of that, snatch time from the client’s department head and executives for a preliminary briefing—only to get nitpicked over trivial things like “the font is too small,” frantically revise the materials, and then, to top it all off, have everything overturned at the approval meeting because of some off-the-cuff remark from the department head or an executive, leaving me spitting blood. That kind of thing happened time and time again.
The real work happens on-site, not in the conference room! Stop wasting my time on preparing materials and pre-meeting groundwork—let me build the system, you idiots! We’re on the brink of the project failing, and this is what you’re doing?!
……Just thinking about it makes me want to spit blood even now, so I’ll stop here.

That’s why I’m just so happy in this life!
My boss is my super competent Onii-sama. His inner circle is super-competent, too. I just have to say one word and they get it—in fact, they’ve often already made arrangements way ahead of me, leaving me in the dust.
…Wait, I can’t just let myself get left behind, can I?

Anyway, even though this is a prestigious family with 400 years of history, they make decisions quickly and are incredibly agile. I’d love to make my clients from my past life—with their “big-company disease” and bureaucratic red tape—drink a brew made from their toenail clippings. To have people like this fully supporting me… there’s nothing but happiness here.

So, please don’t worry that I’m too busy.

You said not to take on any additional roles, right?
Absolutely. After all, how I ended up buying a whole glass workshop was but a huge fluke. The fact that it’s been doing unexpectedly well—and that we’ve been getting a steady stream of orders from top-tier clients I can’t possibly delegate to anyone else—is all thanks to a genius named Lev.
A huge fluke like that doesn’t happen very often.

Other than that, I’m just enjoying my school life as a regular student… Well, I’m still a little scared of those “doom flags” where I don’t know what’s going to happen…
Anyway, there’s no need to worry about me dying from overwork in this lifetime. I’ve been there before!
The one who really needs to worry about that is, without a doubt, my dear Onii-sama. His workload is on a completely different scale.

I’ll definitely protect Onii-sama from that “death by overwork” flag!
