Project GB is an official initiative by Re:Library.

After joining forces, Suzaku and Theodolite cleared the outer rampart of White Robes, and the reinforcements from the city would take care of the rest, so the two jumped down.
On the lower side, Crim and Setsuna had already gotten rid of the enemies, so they just waited in the shadows for the other two to get there.

“I see thou survived, Theodolite.”
“…Hmph.”

Seeing that there were no enemies left, Crim spoke to Theodolite, who was pouting behind Suzaku, and he just brushed her off.
All Crim could do was shrug and talk to Suzaku instead, who undid his Dragon Armor and returned to his human form.

“Sorry for interrupting thy training.”
“…Well, I still owe you, so this is the least I could do. Just try to give me a heads up next time.”
“I can’t guarantee that, but I’m glad to see that thou have grown stronger.”
“Yes…well, I keep dying so many times every day so…”

Suzaku’s eyes seemed to die just a little as he thought back to the training he went through, and Crim chuckled menacingly.
Meanwhile…someone was far from pleased seeing the friendly banter between those two.

“That woman, how dare she act like that with him..!”
“What’s your problem? We just saved your a̲s̲s̲, dumbo.”
“Hmph, I never asked for your help, that Demon Lord just decided to get in the way on a whim.”
“”…Hmph!””

Theodolite did not like how close Crim and Suzaku were, becoming increasingly hostile towards Crim.
In response, Setsuna also became defensive of Crim, not liking the way Theodolite looked at and spoke about Crim, causing a small fight to break out.
Seeing that, Crim just thought they were both in the wrong there…but soon decided it was better to talk more seriously.

“Either way… I believe thou can take care of the rest now?”

The rest of the Holy Kingdom players had already gathered on the rampart.
Suzaku was a human, but was not a member of their Union, and Crim was the leader of an enemy Union, so it was best if they were not seen around there.

“……Hmph, I really hate having to say this, but thank you, Scarlet Demon Lord.”

Theodolite bowed, very reluctantly, but understanding that his whole Union was at stake there.
At least that was some progress, so Crim and Setsuna turned around and left, Crim chanting her Shadow Magic Skill Invisible, and Setsuna using her Sneak Skill to vanish into the shadows cast by the setting sun.
The event in the city was a matter for the Holy Kingdom to deal with, not something an outsider like Crim should meddle with too much…after all, they were still enemies.

Around an hour passed after Theodolite regrouped with his allies, and in front of a certain room in the cathedral…

“So…what shall we do if we manage to capture that brat?”
“Well…I doubt that will be the case, but if the inquisitors manage to bring him here alive, then we could let God decide through a trial by fire.”
“That’s a good idea, we haven’t had such a show since those outsiders showed up. Should I let them know then, Cardinal Rodrigo?”
“Yes, let’s go with that.”

…A crude conversation could be heard through the closed door.
They seemed to be having quite a lot of fun in there…in the office of Cardinal Rodrigo, the Yalcha church member of highest ranking who had survived the initial purge. At that point, Theodolite had enough and kicked down the door with all his might.

“Who…who are you, learn some manners!”
“Heh… It just seemed like you were having a lot of fun here, Cardinal. I could hear everything outside.”
“..?!”

As Theodolite shouted in response, the players of the Holy Kingdom rushed into the room, pointing their weapons at the people there, who went pale realizing they were surrounded.

“You…Theodolite, how did you get here! What happened to my inquisitors!”

He ignored the cardinal’s question, instead holding up his bloodbathed sword up for him to see.
No words were necessary to explain what that meant.

“You…you brutes, so you massacre our men and then still try to claim to be a just king protecting law and order?!”
“A king? Are you sure about that? I seem to remember hearing you designate me as a heretic not too long ago.”
“Th-That was…a mistake! Yes, I was mistaken! I’ll take it back, under my authority as cardinal I declare you’re not a heretic! So at least spare me..!”
“Hmm… So you’re clearing my name and proving my innocence, by your own authority?”

Theodolite asked to confirm that with a smile, and the cardinal nodded violently.
“Very well then,” he replied, wiping off the blood from his blade and sheathing his sword, immediately bringing relief to Cardinal Rodrigo, until…

“Someone, apprehend these men.”
“Wh-Why?!”

As soon as the cardinal and his men thought they were safe, they spat out in protest hearing Theodolite’s orders.
But Theodolite just stared down at them, his eyes full of scorn.

“Isn’t it obvious? You sent assassins after an innocent man, and caused a huge disturbance in the city. It’s time to face judgement for your actions, under a proper jury and this country’s law.”

As far as the laws in this region went, that meant a trial by fire.
Hearing that, Cardinal Rodrigo and his men, everyone who had been responsible for the disturbance, went ghastly pale.

“You…you tricked me! You said you’d spare me if I retracted your status as heretic..!”
“And I’m doing just that. I’m sparing your life here, and giving you the chance of undergoing a fair trial. By your own teachings, if your actions were correct and no crime was committed, then God will protect you from harm and the fire won’t burn you. It’s time to prove your innocence.”

As Theodolite spoke in a monotone voice, Cardinal Rodrigo and his men just gulped loudly.
After all, they had been the same people who used that reasoning to execute countless young girls, just because they did not like someone related to them, or out of pure boredom.
Soon they were all tied up and dragged away by guards…and the commotion that shook the Sacred City Oratoria came to an end.

Once it was all done…there were hardly any citizens of Oratoria that blamed or criticized Theodolite and the players’ treatment of Cardinal Rodrigo and his men…
