* **Mount Azure Dragon.**

No one knew how much time had passed when a large tree, which had been snapped in half by the shockwave, suddenly trembled. With a loud rustle, the entire tree was shoved aside, revealing the man in military uniform beneath it.

He shook his head, trying to clear the haze clouding his mind. Then he looked around, an uneasy feeling gradually welling up inside him. There wasn’t a single person left here!

If not for the frost still radiating a biting chill from the ground, and if not for the utter devastation surrounding him… He might even have suspected that everything had been nothing more than a dream.

As he took a step forward, the layer of ice beneath his feet, already beginning to melt, shattered instantly. It was obvious that the terrifying duel had ended long ago.

“It seems I was unconscious for quite a while.” Looking up at the moon hanging high in the sky, the man in military uniform muttered to himself. Then, as though remembering something, he hurriedly pulled his phone from his pocket.

The moment he lit up the screen, he noticed that the date had changed. It was now midnight.

After hesitating briefly, the man dialed Ambassador Lucia’s number. The news he heard from the other end struck him like a bolt from the blue. Silver Wolf, Avelora, had fallen heroically in the line of duty!

After ending the call, the man gazed at the mountaintop, which looked as though it had been ravaged by a magnitude-twelve earthquake, and softly said, “May there be no hatred in heaven.”

He didn’t know whether Avelora had managed to kill Mylene. He only knew that a young life had vanished with the wind. Offering a solemn salute toward the battlefield ahead, the man turned and hurried down the mountain, returning to his homeland to continue fighting.

Going back a little in time. Under Snowy’s curious gaze, Yae-hime tossed Avelora into the trunk of the black SUV. After Pixie briefly explained the situation, Snowy started the SUV and drove everyone back.

Several dozen minutes later, Nangong Lin and the others, who had been waiting outside the hotel for quite some time, finally saw them return. Every face was filled with joy.

Yae-hime chatted with everyone for a while before returning to her room with Mylene to give her some simple physical therapy. Along with some thoughtful psychological therapy.

Calling it therapy was a stretch. All she really did was seat Mylene on her lap, wrap her arms around her from behind, explain the shortcomings and lessons from the battle, and offer plenty of praise.

To Mylene, however, Yae-hime’s actions were undoubtedly a reward. After this battle, she felt that she had matured considerably. At the same time, her respect and affection for her older sister only grew stronger.

Not long after Yae-hime left with Avelora, Mylene received a warm message from her brother, leaving her overjoyed.

“I want both my sister and my brother!” Lying on the bed, Mylene said with a beaming smile.

Beneath the same night sky, Yae-hime had already returned to the unfinished building. After setting Avelora down alongside the large bag of food Nangong Lin had prepared, she called the Vera clones over for a late-night meal.

As they enjoyed the delicious, high-end dishes, the little girls all smiled from ear to ear. They were certainly curious about the girl lying on the floor, but not a single one of them asked any questions. As long as she wasn’t there to steal their food, that was all that mattered.

While the little ones were eating, Yae-hime conducted a thorough examination of Avelora and discovered that there were quite a few impurities within her body. That peculiar soul aura was seeping out from those impurities, subtly influencing Avelora.

“The impurities are unexpectedly compatible with her, almost as though they were inherited through the same bloodline… How interesting.” Scanning Avelora’s body, Yae-hime spoke with evident curiosity.

If she wanted to uncover the origin of those impurities, the only way was to ask Avelora herself after she woke up. She wasn’t in any hurry.

“It’s time to log into the game.” Compared to researching Avelora, the game naturally took priority.

Within the City of Chaos. Yae-hime opened her eyes and slowly rose from the bed.

“Master, Master!” Before Yae-hime had even steadied herself, the adorable Little Blue flashed into existence and threw herself into her arms.

“Has anything unusual happened?” Yae-hime asked, gently pinching her little nose.

“Not at all! Everything’s been perfectly normal.” Rubbing her face affectionately against her master’s cheek, Little Blue replied cheerfully.

“What about the repairs?”

“Of course they’ve been going unbelievably smoothly!” The moment the conversation turned to work, Little Blue’s face was filled with pride.

“Excellent. It’s all thanks to you.” Yae-hime gently stroked her head.

Little Blue instantly beamed with delight, looking so adorable that anyone would want to scoop her up and shower her with affection.

“Go back and keep supervising the work. Before that, send me to Aoma Village.” Withdrawing her hand, Yae-hime smiled faintly. With Little Blue taking care of things in the game, her own workload had become much lighter.

A flash of white light appeared, and a graceful figure materialized on the quiet street.

“That bishop is really timid. Fine by me. One less problem to deal with.” Looking at the familiar, peaceful street, Yae-hime let out a small sigh of relief. Since the other party hadn’t come today, it meant they wouldn’t be coming after her anytime soon.

Turning her head toward the guest room at the village chief’s house, she saw that the lights were out. Zerene was probably already asleep. Yae-hime didn’t disturb her. Instead, she lightly tapped the ground with her toes and drifted gracefully toward the brightly illuminated church.

At that moment, inside the church’s main hall…

“It’s finished! It’s finally finished! This is the golden statue of Lord Angel as they appeared in their holy manifestation!”

Priest Micha looked at the golden statue standing beside the Goddess’ statue and exclaimed excitedly. The golden statue was several times smaller than the Goddess’ statue. It possessed a beautiful face, a voluptuous figure, and countless arms extending from its body.

No matter how one looked at it, it was unmistakably the Thousand-Armed Avalokiteśvara that Yae-hime had manifested outside the village. What she hadn’t expected was that the church had actually created an almost identical golden statue and enshrined it in the main hall for worship.

Looking down, she saw large golden letters engraved on the pedestal:
**Golden Statue of Lord Angel**

“…I just made that thing on a whim…” Yae-hime said with a helpless expression, on the verge of tears. She had never worshipped gods or Buddhas, nor did she want others worshipping her.

Yet judging from the devout expressions on the faces of the clergy and villagers kneeling before the statue, whether she wanted it or not, she was going to be worshipped.

Retracting her gaze, Yae-hime looked toward the towering statue of the Goddess of Light. A mysterious aura shrouded the statue’s face, making its features impossible to discern.

Strictly speaking, all the statues of deities in the game looked more or less the same, each enveloped in an air of mystery. After staring at the Goddess of Light for quite some time, Yae-hime vaguely felt that the outline of the face seemed strangely familiar. It was as though she had seen it somewhere before. Yet whenever she tried to think more deeply about it, she couldn’t remember where.

“Could I have actually met the real Goddess of Light…? That’s impossible!” Shaking her head lightly, Yae-hime quietly left the church. She had no interest in watching other people worship her.

After wandering the streets for a while, Yae-hime suddenly stopped in her tracks, her pupils contracting ever so slightly. Just moments ago, a tiny yet extraordinarily mysterious power had suddenly appeared within her body!1

“What is this?” After examining herself from within for a while, she still couldn’t determine where that power had come from or what it did. Since she couldn’t sense any danger from it, Yae-hime simply set the matter aside for the time being.

Just as she was about to call Little Blue to teleport her back to the City of Chaos, a gigantic pillar of light suddenly shot into the heavens in the distance. The next instant, the winds and clouds churned violently, and heaven and earth shook!
