“The Storm Emperor?” Avelora asked, her delicate brows knitting together. It was yet another name, or perhaps a title, she had never heard before.
Just as the man in military uniform was about to explain, Mylene’s figure suddenly appeared before Avelora like a ghost. Startled, Avelora instantly condensed her frigid aura into eight icy shields that surrounded and protected her entire body.
Almost at the same instant, violent lightning erupted, turning everything around them into a blinding sea of white. No one could see what was happening inside.
A second later, a figure shot out of the lightning pool and soared straight into the sky as countless icicles rained down from above. Who else could it have been but Avelora?
Although she looked somewhat disheveled, she appeared to have suffered no real injuries.
“So fast!” Hovering in midair, Avelora forcibly steadied herself and stared at the lightning pool in astonishment. Mylene’s strength had far exceeded her expectations!
At that moment, the lightning pool churned violently, and the roar of a dragon echoed from within. Immediately afterward, a dragon formed entirely of lightning burst out of the pool and charged straight toward Avelora.
Her face paled as she swiftly descended from the sky, gliding across the frozen surface at incredible speed to evade the lightning dragon’s assault.
The enormous dragon slammed into the ground, shattering the frozen surface. Then it twisted its head and lunged at her once more. Terrifying arcs of lightning exploded in every direction, as though a natural catastrophe had descended upon the world.
Down at the foot of the mountain, the patrol officers were trembling with fear, not daring to raise their heads.
“The immortals have descended…”
“The immortals have descended…”
They covered their ears and huddled together, shivering uncontrollably. Dragon roars? Thunderclaps? Fake. Every bit of it had to be nothing more than an illusion!
Back at the mountaintop, Avelora narrowly evaded the lightning dragon’s blisteringly fast attacks again and again, though each escape became increasingly desperate. Eventually, even she lost her patience.
“Enough!” After regaining her footing, Avelora stretched both hands forward and clenched at empty space. An enormous blade of ice instantly materialized in her grasp. The crystal-clear blade glowed with an eerie blue radiance, while the terrifying frost it emitted seemed capable of freezing even space itself.
“Break!” Gripping the hilt tightly with both hands, she raised the blade overhead and brought it down with all her might the instant the lightning dragon charged once more.
In the next moment, the blade, infused with overwhelming frost, transformed into a forty-meter-long icy saber in midair and cleaved directly into the dragon of lightning.
One slash. Split in two! Only after the strike had landed did the deafening explosion erupt across the battlefield.
The lightning dragon instantly disintegrated, while a long, deep trench was carved into the ground. Not far away, Mylene stood beside the trench, her face slightly pale as she looked toward Avelora.
That slash had nearly cut both her and the lightning dragon cleanly in half. Fortunately, she had been even faster, narrowly dodging it at the most critical moment.
“Haa… haa… haa…” Avelora gripped her icy blade as her body trembled slightly, breathing in short, quiet gasps. That strike had been both sudden and devastating, consuming an enormous amount of her energy.
The two stood in silence, neither making a move, as though they were reassessing the opponent before them.
Outside the battlefield, Pixie was completely dumbfounded. “So this is what the new generation is capable of…” She lightly clenched her fist and murmured to herself. There was no doubt that both Avelora and Mylene had placed tremendous pressure on her.
“……” Yae-hime silently watched the battle unfolding ahead. In her eyes, Mylene had already gained a slight upper hand. Yet for some reason, an uneasy feeling continued to linger in her heart.
“You’re very strong,” Avelora said. At this point, whether she wanted to admit it or not, the girl standing before her was undeniably powerful beyond belief.
“You’re not bad yourself.” Mylene raised her right hand and gave it a gentle squeeze. A whip woven entirely from lightning instantly materialized in her grasp.
This was the first time she had ever encountered such an evenly matched battle. She could not help feeling a surge of excitement. More importantly, this battle would allow her to display the full extent of her strength, earn Yae-hime’s approval, and restore the image she had lost.
Without another word, the two charged at each other in perfect unison. The icy blade clashed head-on with the lightning whip, sending bolts of electricity flying in every direction as waves of frost exploded across the battlefield.
Powerful shockwaves rippled outward one after another, reducing the mountaintop, which had already been devastated by the battle between Ronald and Dominus1, to even greater ruin.
At that very moment, it seemed as though the entire Mount Azure Dragon was trembling! Yet despite the ferocity of their battle, Yae-hime remained completely unaffected.
An almost imperceptible wall of air stood before her and Pixie, isolating them from the aftershocks of the battle. Elsewhere, the man in military uniform, who had no one to protect him, had long since been blasted away by the shockwaves to who knew where.
“What an intense battle,” Pixie said softly. A trace of astonishment flashed across her eyes.
“Mhm.” Yae-hime nodded, her expression as calm as ever.
Seeing such a composed expression on her face, the shock in Pixie’s heart deepened even further. In her eyes, Yae-hime’s strength had clearly surpassed both Mylene and Avelora. Otherwise, there was no way she could remain so utterly unfazed by such a breathtaking battle.
‘The strength Mylene and Avelora are displaying right now is at least at the peak of the Advanced Realm. Could it be that the Princess has already reached Great Perfection… or even…’ At the thought, Pixie involuntarily gasped.
“Are you cold?” Sensing something unusual, Yae-hime turned her head slightly and asked.
Pixie hurriedly shook her head, finally managing to suppress the turmoil in her heart. When they had first met, she had believed herself to be stronger than Yae-hime. Yet in just a matter of days, Yae-hime’s strength had already far surpassed her own. It was almost impossible to believe, yet she had no choice but to accept it.
Whether it had been the battle against Lucky on Baiding Island or her effortless suppression of the aftershocks from Mylene and Avelora’s fierce clash, the evidence was undeniable.
This was the first time Pixie had ever witnessed someone so monstrously talented. Even calling her an unparalleled prodigy felt like an understatement. Perhaps this was what people meant by a once-in-a-millennium martial arts genius.
Just as Pixie was sighing inwardly, a deafening explosion suddenly erupted across the battlefield, shaking the earth beneath them. Turning toward the sound, they were greeted by an unbelievable sight.
Before them, half a mountain of ice and half a wall of lightning collided head-on. Snow and ice whirled wildly through the air while arcs of lightning flashed incessantly. The scene possessed an almost surreal beauty, yet at the same time radiated an overwhelming aura of destruction.
At that instant, an all-encompassing aura of death swept toward them, so oppressive that Pixie nearly unleashed all of her power to resist it. But the moment she saw Yae-hime’s calm expression remained unchanged, she completely relaxed.
At the same time, the terrifying aftermath imbued with the aura of death crashed toward them. Yae-hime made no grand movement. She merely opened her eyes slightly wider. The wall of air before them immediately condensed into a massive shield, forcefully blocking the horrifying shockwave.
Standing safely behind the shield, Pixie did not feel the slightest trace of impact. If she had still harbored any doubts before, they were now completely gone. ‘Princess’ strength is absolutely no lower than the Great Perfection Realm!’
An eighteen-year-old Grandmaster at the Great Perfection Realm… what a terrifying level of talent… Pixie simply could not fathom it. If she knew that Yae-hime’s current strength was already enough to rival Lisa’s, who knew what she would think.
Suddenly, a crisp cracking sound echoed from the front. The half-mountain of ice rapidly split apart before their eyes, while the white wall of lightning only continued to grow more formidable.
Then, with a thunderous boom, the ice mountain shattered into countless fragments, revealing a figure covered in wounds. And buried against her body was a small fist wrapped in dazzling white lightning.

- Syl: Is this the correct name? Wasn’t this where he fought with the Silver Wolf? The author used Dominus so I’ll follow suit but I feel it could be a typo…
