Before long, a girl in her birthday suit stood before Yae-hime.
“S-Sis, is there… anything strange about my body?” Mylene asked with a deeply flushed face.
“Nope. You look pretty good.” Yae-hime gave her a careful once-over and answered honestly. Her little sister was actually quite attractive; with fair, delicate skin and very few flaws. She was petite and exquisitely proportioned, looking absolutely adorable.
Hearing this, Mylene quietly let out a sigh of relief. In truth, she had always been somewhat self-conscious. After all, her sister had such an incredible figure, whereas she herself was practically flat and underdeveloped by comparison.
Still, hearing Yae-hime’s evaluation brought her a great deal of comfort.
“You can lie down now,” Yae-hime said.
“O-Okay!” Snapping back to her senses, Mylene hurriedly lay down on the bed.
Thanks to her earlier examination, Yae-hime had already identified the source of the problem in Mylene’s body. As for whether it was serious, there was no doubt that it was. Fortunately, for Yae-hime, it was not an especially difficult issue to handle.
(Mylene has something similar to a spirit core near her heart. That should be the core of her ability. The hidden injuries throughout her body are basically caused by that core. Also, those one hundred and eight luminous meridians resemble the spirit meridians I know. Interesting. Looks like there are still plenty of things I don’t understand.)
Based on Yae-hime’s observations, the number of hidden injuries inside Mylene’s body was so extensive that it was almost unbelievable. It was easy to imagine just how much suffering this ability had put her through over the years.
(There are still traces of medicinal effects lingering in her body. It seems she’s undergone constant treatment over the years. Without the Tian family’s support, she probably wouldn’t have lived past fifteen. At the current rate, thirty years old would be her absolute limit.)
As Yae-hime placed a hand on Mylene’s lower abdomen, she obtained even more detailed information. Without question, the true culprit behind Mylene’s condition was the ability core.
“You have a special constitution,” Yae-hime said softly.
“A special constitution?” Mylene blinked in confusion.
“If this had been several hundred years ago, this constitution would have brought you countless benefits. But in this era, all it does is shorten your lifespan.” Yae-hime paused before continuing. “Your ability is extraordinarily powerful, but your body isn’t compatible with it. To put it simply, your body is too weak. If you’d been born somewhere rich in spiritual energy, this problem wouldn’t exist. Unfortunately…”
“My master seemed to have said something similar before.” Mylene’s expression turned serious.
“I can treat the hidden injuries in your body. I can even restore you to the condition of a normal person, but…” Before Yae-hime could finish speaking, Mylene interrupted her.
“Sis, are you saying I can really become a normal person!?” She sprang upright in excitement and grabbed Yae-hime’s hands tightly.
“Of course it’s true.” Yae-hime smiled. “Though all I’m doing is allowing you to freely control that power.”
“That’s wonderful!” Upon hearing those words, Mylene nearly burst into tears from sheer joy. The lightning ability within her body had always been a source of endless distress. Being unable to control it meant it could spiral out of control at any moment.
If that happened, she might get lucky and nothing would occur. But if luck wasn’t on her side, she could end up hurting the people around her. That had been Mylene’s greatest fear ever since childhood.
“As for making your body perfectly compatible with that ability, that’s not something I can solve right now.” With Yae-hime’s current level of medical expertise, there was simply no way for her to alter Mylene’s constitution.
Unless she could obtain the middle volume of the Green Emperor’s Longevity Manual and learn more advanced medical techniques. Or perhaps use certain special medicines to improve Mylene’s physique.
(The Holy Spirit Drug should be able to solve this problem!)
Suddenly, Yae-hime thought of the Empress Leviathan’s Treasury. The Holy Spirit Drug was stored there. Whether it was Rakshasa or Mylene, both of them needed that medicine.
(If everything goes smoothly, after some time passes, I can head to the Tomb of Leviathan with Kahn and claim the treasury.)
At that thought, her desire for the treasury grew even stronger. Unfortunately, the timing did not permit it. The tomb still remains dormant to this date.
“As long as I can become normal, that’s enough!” Mylene’s words immediately pulled Yae-hime back from her thoughts.
“Mm. I won’t let you down, little sister. Lie down now. It’s getting late, and I need to begin.”
There were only about two hours left before the duel. Unless something unexpected happened, Yae-hime had no intention of intervening in that battle. After all, it was the final duel meant to settle a grudge and karma passed down through their ancestors.
“I’m counting on you, Sis!” Mylene obediently lay down. The embarrassment on her face had long since been replaced by anticipation and joy.
Seeing that she was ready, Yae-hime condensed a jade-green needle and thrust it down with lightning speed before anyone could react. Then came a second needle. And another. The needles fell like rain.
There was only so much she could do for Mylene. She could heal the hidden injuries throughout her body, adjust and nourish those spirit meridians, and absorb some of the excess lightning power leaking from her ability.
Once all that was done, she finished by giving her a full-body beauty treatment. An hour later, the two emerged from the room. When everyone saw the transformed Mylene, they were stunned. She looked like a delicate little fairy brought to life. Far too adorable. Far too perfect.
Nangong Lin and Pixie even felt the urge to carry her back into a room and shower her with affection. At the same time, they could not help feeling envious. Whether it was Rakshasa, Little Fairy, or Mylene, all of them had become more beautiful and charming. After all, what girl wouldn’t want to become even better?
Once the initial amazement passed, Pixie and Snowy quickly noticed a more important change. Mylene’s aura had become stronger and far more stable. She was obviously different from before. What shocked Pixie the most was that Mylene was no longer wearing those black gloves.
Among those present, only she and Yae-hime knew that the gloves existed to suppress Mylene’s lightning ability. Now that she was not wearing them, did that mean she could finally control that power?
Meeting Pixie’s gaze, Mylene gently nodded. Pixie immediately gasped, her heart filled with shock. She could hardly imagine how powerful Mylene had become after perfectly combining the strength of a Grandmaster with the power of an S-Class transcendent.
Perhaps only Princess herself still stood above her.
Pixie could not help turning toward Yae-hime, her mind reeling as if struck by a magnitude-twelve earthquake. With such ease, she had solved a problem that had plagued Mylene her entire life and even elevated her strength to a new level.
Princess’ abilities had already surpassed the limits of Pixie’s imagination. The more she thought about it, the more her body trembled uncontrollably, and the gaze she directed at Yae-hime grew increasingly fervent. This was the person she had chosen!
Being looked at with such eyes made Yae-hime feel uncomfortable all over. After chatting with everyone for a while, it was finally time to leave.
Since the battle ahead would likely be extremely intense, Yae-hime did not allow Nangong Lin, Rakshasa, and the others to accompany her. Left with no choice, they handed a high-definition camera with internet connectivity to Pixie.
She would be responsible for livestreaming the fight.
As soon as they reached the ground floor, Snowy drove up in a black SUV. After a brief farewell, the vehicle smoothly departed from the hotel and headed toward Mount Azure Dragon.
At that moment, two figures were already standing atop Mt. Azure Dragon. Under the moonlight stood a man and a woman.
The man wore a green military uniform and carried a stern expression. The woman was also dressed in a green military uniform, though hers was a much lighter and more revealing version.
Her shirt had short sleeves, and her shorts were so brief they nearly reached the tops of her thighs, revealing flawless skin as fair and smooth as jade. On her feet were a pair of light-green military boots, while her long golden curls flowed freely over her shoulders and down her back.
She was none other than Silver Wolf Avelora. And she had been waiting here for quite some time.
