If we’re talking about whether this battle skirt suited her, then the answer was undoubtedly yes. The problem was that it was simply too short. Even before putting it on, it already looked incredibly short and embarrassingly revealing! If she had a choice, Yae-hime truly did not want to wear it.

“Let’s check the stats first.” After a moment of hesitation, she finally reached out and lightly touched the battle skirt. A detailed information panel immediately appeared before her.

After reading the equipment details, Yae-hime’s expression turned complicated, as though she wanted to say something but stopped herself. Was the equipment good? Of course it was. It was absolutely, overwhelmingly good! The only issue was that it was still far too short, making her instinctively resist the idea of wearing it.

(I’m a boy, okay!? How am I supposed to wear such a provocative skirt!)

Yet when she looked at those incredibly attractive attributes, she could not help wavering. Equipping this battle skirt would undoubtedly increase her combat strength by a considerable amount. Moreover, the permanent passive effect, [Eternal Serenity], held tremendous appeal for her.

The reason was simple. Her mental resistance had always been rather low. Whenever she encountered illusions or mental-type attacks, she suffered greatly. With this battle skirt equipped, one of her major weaknesses would effectively disappear. It was unquestionably a worthwhile trade.

(It’s short, sure, but with the privacy system in place, there shouldn’t be any risk of accidental exposure…)

Yae-hime hesitated. Very, very hesitantly. Because by putting it on, she would gain some things while also losing others.

“Master, don’t you like it?” Little Blue asked.
“I do like it, but don’t you think it’s a little too revealing?” Yae-hime said.
“Not at all.” Little Blue shook her head. “Master will definitely look beautiful wearing it.”
“Whether it looks good isn’t really the issue…”

Yae-hime let out a soft sigh and continued weighing the pros and cons in her mind. At this point, wearing skirts was no longer such a huge obstacle for her. But a skirt this short was still difficult to accept right away.

“Master, looking good is what matters most,” Little Blue declared with complete seriousness.
“Uuuu… this is such a difficult choice.” Yae-hime bit her rosy lower lip, her gaze toward the snow-white battle skirt becoming increasingly complicated.

In fact, her feelings were even more complicated than the first time she had ever worn a skirt. Second by second, time passed. By now, daylight had fully broken.

After a fierce internal struggle, Yae-hime finally made her decision. She would wear it! Compared to losing that tiny bit of dignity, becoming stronger was far more important. Only by becoming stronger could she play a greater role in the battle that awaited in the near future.

Thinking that, she chose to replace her current equipment. In the next instant, the snow-white skirt imbued with spatial energy appeared on her body. The sight of her beautifully slender, flawless legs made Little Blue’s eyes sparkle brightly.

“Uuuu… it’s so breezy…” On the other side, Yae-hime felt as though she was practically wearing nothing at all. A cool draft brushed against her lower body, leaving her feeling strangely exposed.

After stiffly taking a few steps, she turned to Little Blue and asked, “It’s okay, right?”

“Master looks absolutely gorgeous!” Little Blue nodded vigorously.

“That’s not what I meant.” Yae-hime rolled her eyes at her. “What I’m asking is, are you sure this won’t accidentally expose anything?”

“Expose what?” Little Blue asked in confusion.

“…Forget it. As long as nobody else can see anything, it’s fine.” After steadying herself, Yae-hime spoke with a hint of frustration. She felt as though her bottom line had been sinking lower and lower alongside the shortening length of her skirts.

That was definitely not a good sign. Still, after sensing the changes in her strength, she felt considerably better. As the saying went, every gain came with a loss. At the very least, this trade was worth it.

After calming herself down, Yae-hime opened the third chest. Inside was a quiver.

“Excellent. All three pieces of equipment are exactly what I wanted!” After equipping the quiver, Yae-hime could not help clenching her fist in delight. The frustration and inner conflict she had felt while changing into the battle skirt seemed to have vanished completely.

Although her strength had not doubled, she was now noticeably stronger than before. As a result, she felt even more confident about the battle that would take place in the near future.

“As long as nothing unexpected happens, we’ll be able to capture Jade City very soon.” Looking toward the direction of Jade City, Yae-hime smiled calmly. Without question, the scales of victory had already tipped in their favor.

“Master, I’m so hungry,” Little Blue floated over and said pitifully.

Yae-hime thought to herself. She knew perfectly well that the little glutton was simply craving food.

“Let’s head back to Aoma Village.”

“Yay, breakfast time!” Upon hearing that, Little Blue immediately threw herself into Yae-hime’s arms. A flash of blue light swept past. The two vanished without a trace.

“Little Hime!” The moment Yae-hime appeared outside the guest room, Zerene pounced over and latched herself onto her. Lili was much more reserved and simply remained where she was, greeting her with a smile.

“Good morning. Let’s head downstairs.” Yae-hime smiled.

As always, that smile was dazzling enough to leave people breathless. Both little girls immediately felt their hearts race. At the same time, they keenly noticed something different about Yae-hime.

“Hime, your new skirt is so pretty!” Lili stared at the snow-white battle skirt with an expression full of envy. Her petite frame was not suited for such a mature and alluring style of skirt.

“Let me see! Let me see!” Zerene stepped back a short distance and carefully examined Yae-hime’s long, fair legs as well as the brand-new battle skirt. “Mhm, it really suits Hime perfectly. I love it!”

Being stared at so intently by the two of them made Yae-hime feel somewhat uncomfortable. It felt as though her entire body had been thoroughly seen through. Even though her battle skirt had absolutely no risk of exposing anything.

“Alright already. There’s nothing special about my skirt. Let’s go downstairs and have breakfast.” With that, she turned and walked out of the room. The two little girls hurriedly followed behind her.

By the time they reached the first floor, everyone else was already waiting. When they saw Yae-hime in her new skirt and Little Blue at her side, all of them were momentarily captivated.

After introducing Little Blue to Layna and the others, Angelica emerged from the kitchen carrying steaming hot dishes in both hands. Once everything had been prepared, everyone began enjoying the delicious breakfast together, and a warm, cozy atmosphere filled the room.

Half an hour later. After stuffing herself full, Little Blue patted her bottom and disappeared in a flash. She looked extraordinarily busy.

Layna and Aurora stayed behind to clean up. The two chatted and laughed together, clearly having become quite close. Meanwhile, Yae-hime sat on a long bench in the living room, leisurely sipping black tea.

“I hope the day passes peacefully without any trouble.” Setting down her teacup, she stretched lazily and spoke in a soft voice. However, before the last word had even left her lips, a panicked voice suddenly came from outside.

“Lord Angel, this is terrible!” The owner of the voice was none other than Angelica, who had gone out earlier to handle some errands.

The moment she heard herself being addressed as Lord Angel, Yae-hime swiftly put on her white mask and pulled up her hood. Immediately afterward, she saw Angelica and a young cleric rush anxiously into the house.
