Under the same sky. Inside the Rosen Hotel in Roc City.
“My head hurts…” Mylene rubbed her temples as she looked at the information displayed on the monitor, sounding utterly depressed.
Too many things had happened tonight. Far too many bizarre and incomprehensible events. The entire world had been shaken. Fortunately, none of it had caused any truly disastrous consequences.
“Countless people witnessed the phantom image of the Nine Cauldrons. There’s no way to suppress information on that scale. And there have also been numerous anomalies overseas. It’s impossible to handle everything.”
Letting out a soft sigh, Mylene sent instructions to her subordinates, telling them to carefully monitor both online and offline activity. They had to prevent anyone from taking advantage of the chaos to stir up trouble.
“People’s hearts are very easy to manipulate…” After shutting down the computer, Mylene looked at her phone and softly murmured, “I have so many questions I want to ask Master, but Master’s already entered seclusion… sigh.”
Right then, the phone screen suddenly lit up, accompanied by a lively and cheerful ringtone. “Why is Xina calling at a time like this? Did something major happen?” Seeing the caller ID, she unconsciously furrowed her delicate brows.
Then she used her stylus to swipe across the screen and answer the call. Several dozen seconds later…
“Huh? Grandpa’s entering seclusion too?” After hearing what Xina said, Mylene blinked repeatedly, her face filled with confusion. What kind of day even was this? Why was everyone suddenly going into seclusion?
Xina did not tell her that Ronald had gone to Mount Kun to enter life-and-death seclusion after a fierce battle. She only said that Ronald had suddenly gained some enlightenment and needed to enter closed-door meditation for a period of time, meaning he would not be returning to Roc City anytime soon.
After hanging up, Mylene felt genuinely depressed. Whether it was Master or Grandpa, neither of them could help answer her doubts right now.
“Waaah… I just want to play games and ignore all this stupid crap!”

Meanwhile, Yae-hime was lying on the bed resting, with three adorable little girls beside her. They were Vera 1, Vera 2, and Vera 17. Because Little Blue was absent, the girls had switched to a two-shift rotation system, with some taking the night shift while others handled the day shift.
At this moment, none of the three little ones felt even the slightest bit sleepy.
‘Sharing a bed with Master… I’m so nervous.’ Vera 1 thought to herself.
‘Mmm… Master smells so nice. It’s so comforting~’ Vera 17 lightly inhaled the lingering fragrance around her.
‘Too nervous… I can’t sleep.’ Vera 2 kept her eyes shut, yet Yae-hime’s image continuously surfaced in her mind.
Unlike them, Yae-hime had completely relaxed both body and mind, leaving her thoughts utterly blank. She had clearly entered a state of selflessness.
Time passed second by second. Before long, the sky gradually brightened. Vera 1, Vera 2, and Vera 17 had already fallen into deep sleep. Their tiny bodies clung closely to Yae-hime, peaceful expressions spread across their faces.
Emerging from her selfless state, Yae-hime looked at the three little girls and couldn’t help smiling wryly. According to her original plan, she was supposed to get up and practice a set of martial arts to loosen her muscles and bones. But seeing how soundly the little girls were sleeping, she changed her mind.
Instead, she directly logged into the game. At this hour, dawn had yet to fully break over Aoma Village. The morning sunlight gently spilled across the land, bringing with it a faint warmth.
Inside the guest room of the village chief’s house, the moment Yae-hime appeared, the two little girls habitually lunged over to hug her. This time, however, her reaction speed was much faster. She immediately used Flash and vanished from the large bed.
The two little girls ended up hugging empty air.
Landing lightly on the ground, Yae-hime looked toward Lili and Zerene on the bed, a triumphant smile appearing on her beautiful face. It was as though she were saying: The same trick won’t work on me a third time!
Upon the City of Chaos, Little Blue sensed her master’s summon and instantly transformed into a streak of blue light before disappearing. When she reappeared, she was already inside the guest room.
“Shh.” Just as she was about to speak, Yae-hime pressed a finger against her lips. “They’re sleeping. Let’s quietly return to the city.”
Hearing this, Little Blue nodded. Blue light flashed through her eyes, and the two vanished simultaneously. “Master!” The instant they returned to the City of Chaos, the little girl immediately threw herself into Yae-hime’s arms.
“How’s the progress?” Yae-hime pinched her soft pink cheeks and asked.
“Everything’s progressing smoothly! With me supervising things personally, Master can just wait without worry!” Little Blue said with a cheerful grin.
“Mm, my Little Blue really is the most reliable.” Yae-hime smiled faintly.
“Hehe! Master, I’m going back to supervising the work now!”
“Go ahead.” After watching Little Blue leave, Yae-hime opened the game interface and looked toward her item box.
Three sparkling chests were sitting inside. These were the exclusive random equipment chests rewarded from her class advancement.
“A big battle is approaching. It’s about time I strengthened myself a little more.” Gazing at the three chests, Yae-hime spoke calmly. There was not much time left before Alicia emerged from seclusion. If she wanted to rapidly increase her strength, the best method was naturally to upgrade her equipment.
At present, she still had three rather mediocre pieces of gear equipped, which perfectly matched the number of chests. With her Luck stat, the probability of obtaining suitable equipment was extremely high.
“As my level rises, the Toxic Gloves have already become useless to me. It’s time to replace them.”
She lightly tapped the chest icon. The next instant, a random equipment chest flashed into existence, floating before Yae-hime. Her slender jade-like fingers gently tapped it, causing the chest to immediately open.
A pair of snow-white gloves slowly emerged amid silver light. Yae-hime tapped the gloves, and detailed information instantly appeared before her.

…
After reading the equipment information, Yae-hime felt both pleasantly surprised and slightly disappointed.
The pleasant surprise was that this was the cooldown reduction equipment she had always dreamed of obtaining. Moreover, its various stats and special effects were all exceptionally good.
As for the disappointment…
“Why does it feel like the equipment descriptions are getting lazier and lazier?”
Even though equipment descriptions had no additional practical use, a well-written description always gave people a special sense of accomplishment. For example, a sword once wielded by a dragon-slaying hero, or a dagger licked by a beautiful elf. Just reading those descriptions alone was exciting enough, alright!?
“Sister System is probably very busy lately…” Yae-hime let out a soft sigh before equipping the Voidguard. In an instant, her stats changed, and her strength rose another step higher.
“The Baham Skirt can no longer keep up with my needs. Next, let’s get a battle skirt.” While opening the second chest, Yae-hime softly muttered to herself.
Silver light flashed. Sure enough, what appeared was another snow-white battle skirt.
“It’s so short! How is this even shorter than the Baham Skirt!?” Staring at the brand-new battle skirt, she couldn’t help exclaiming in shock.
“Master, this skirt looks sooo pretty!” Hearing her master’s cry of surprise, Little Blue instantly flashed over, her eyes sparkling brightly.
“It does look good, but don’t you think it’s way too short? And this is a battle skirt, not some cute little skirt!” Yae-hime corrected her.
“I think this battle skirt suits Master perfectly.” Little Blue lowered her head and looked toward Yae-hime’s long slender legs. Only a battle skirt like this could fully showcase those art-like beautiful legs to their absolute limit.
“……” Hearing that, the corners of Yae-hime’s mouth twitched slightly, her heart filled with hesitation.
