Finally they made their way to the Foggy Lakeside Town of Nebel.
First things first, they checked out the Teleporter Plaza, letting Julia register at it, and then they headed to Crim’s home, Castle Seyfert.
“Woahhh…”
Julia’s eyes twinkled as she saw the white walls and towers of Castle Seyfert, far across the water, as she walked alongside the lake shores, hand in hand with Sorleon.
“We’ll have to show you the town next time too.”
“There’s this dango stand that’s really good.”
“I can’t wait..!”
Hinagiku and Lycoris were with her. and as the children made merry…they brightened the day of everyone guarding her, who watched from a distance.
They continued walking…eventually reaching the bridge leading to the islands, and then getting to the castle gardens.
“Welcome back, Lord Sorleon, Lady Julia.”
Nord Glacier’s maid, Lety, received them at the stairs leading into the entrance.
As well as…
“Hello everyone, and it’s nice to have you too, Julia.”
“Welcome to Castle Seyfert.”
Jade and Sara were there too, as they had not been part of the bodyguards. They had stayed behind, preparing a special *something* with Adonis and Elohim.
“Also…everything is ready in the garden.”
“Well done, I appreciate it, Sara and Jade.”
This time they did not go to their usual spot in the inner gardens, instead going to a flowerbed with a view of the lake, which confused Julia a bit but she did not say anything.
…And unlike the usual liveliness of the place, Castle Seyfert was dead silent.
It was not quite what Julia had expected, so she tilted her head, but followed them without complaining. Then, when they passed through the arch leading to the flower bed…
“””Welcome to Castle Seyfert!!”””
There were loud bangs and confetti rained everywhere.
All of the residents of the castle, and many children from the town like Juna and George, also appeared all of a sudden there.
“Huh, what?!”
As Julia’s eyes widened with shock and she looked around in surprise, many little flying figures swarmed around her. Everyone had been hiding there with illusory magic.
*”Yes, she didn’t see it coming!”*
*”Yayy, it worked out!”*
“Ah…they’re fairies..!”
The fairies were all in a good mood, circling around Julia while laughing about their surprise being successful.
A bit of a distance away were Lyco, Hina, and all the many other shapeshifters waved their stubby arms and legs in welcome, as well as Lulu with Cthulhu, and even Aery.
*”Sigh… I really wish they would learn to limit their pranks to stuff like this…”*
“Hahah, good job holding them back, Fia.”
“Ahahah…it must have been a lot of work.”
Soon the fairy guide Fia sat down on Crim’s shoulder, on the opposite side of Rouge. She looked beyond exhausted.
The welcome prank had only been this innocent and safe thanks to Fia’s hard work reeling in the fairies.
Now, amidst all the liveliness that once again filled the gardens of Castle Seyfert, someone approached the little guest of honor.
“A flower spirit..!”
Julia looked at her with twinkling eyes, admiring all the flowers adorning her. It was Da’at Seyfert, who smiled gently and bowed.
“I’m Da’at Seyfert, in charge of this castle’s upkeep. We’re honored by your presence, cute lady.”
“I apologize if it startled you, but we put our heart into this welcome.”
“Please enjoy your stay with us, together with your entourage.”
Da’at Seyfert welcomed her, followed by the Shabbat siblings behind her.
All of them guided Julia along, who was still surprised by it all, heading to the table set amongst the flowers, filled with various snacks and drinks.

“…Phew, I was a bit worried when I heard she was a shy girl, but I’m glad she’s got more courage than I expected.”
Now the people of the castle and all the travelers that had just arrived celebrated that welcome party.
Crim watched from outside the crowd, talking to the young girl sitting next to her, Da’at Seyfert, who let out a sigh of relief.
“Yes, she might look weak and frail, but her mental fortitude can be surprising.”
That was something Crim noticed during the trip there. Julia was certainly shy, but was very receptive to friendliness. It did not matter the appearance of others, if they were friendly towards her, she had no fear of them.
That was the most evident when interacting with the ogres from the Howling Ogre Ridge. Even if she had never met any of them before, she interacted the same with them as with any other person.
When asked, she said… *”There used to be nice people like them around me when I was little, so I’m used to it.”*
“I can see that…she really is a good girl.”
Da’at Seyfert let out a giggle as she watched how the flying octopus…Cluh, became attached to Julia’s arm, and she laughed as it tickled.
“…It’s been a long time since I’ve seen thee laugh like that.”
“Ah… I’m so sorry.”
“Oh, I didn’t mean it in a bad way. Or rather, I’m pleased to see that.”
While Da’at hastily apologized, Crim tried to reassure her, realizing that the last time they had a proper conversation was *that day.*
“…Does the Da’at *over there* still worry thee?”
“Yes… From what Suzaku told me, it’s pretty much confirmed that she really was the little sister I knew so long ago.”
“And she’s still fighting her own battle, even now. It’s natural to be worried.”
It was already night by then, and Crim looked up at the stars above as she spoke, and Da’at nodded.
Then Crim placed her hand atop Da’at’s head, speaking with conviction.
“There’s nothing we can do for now, but we’re all working to be ready for the day when we can… It’s not thine burden alone. Our efforts have already managed to get so many new people living in this castle, and we’ll do the same for thy sister.”
Hearing that, Da’at Seyfert just stared with round eyes for some time, before her shoulders began twitching.
“Hmm…heheh…somehow I don’t doubt a word you said.”
“Mhm, there’s no reason to.”
Da’at Seyfert could not stop herself from laughing a bit, and Crim just grinned teasingly.
