Amid the applause that still hadn’t died down, Marina rushed over to Olga and threw her arms around her.

“That was wonderful, Lady Olga! I had no idea you were so talented!”

Since the two were such good friends, she probably couldn’t help herself. Or rather than just being good friends, it seemed more like Marina—the class favorite—was looking out for the quiet Olga, which made this a particularly delightful surprise.

Ekaterina also wanted to rush over to Olga, but she restrained herself. She sensed a crowd mentality: if she followed Marina’s lead, the audience would likely swarm Olga.

Instead, Ekaterina clapped her hands loudly to draw attention.

“I was completely captivated by that truly wonderful singing. Everyone, please give another round of thunderous applause for the diva of our class, Lady Olga Flurse!”

Of course, a huge round of applause erupted, and Olga, prompted by Marina beside her, bowed shyly.
Oh, right.

“And now, a round of applause for another person—the one who deserves the most credit today.”

At Ekaterina’s words, the audience looked around, wondering, “Huh? Who?”

“This musical evening began thanks to an idea from Lady Marina Krymov. Without Lady Marina’s suggestion, we wouldn’t have been able to enjoy this wonderful moment. Everyone, please give a round of applause for Lady Marina!”

As the mystery was solved, the audience erupted into warm and enthusiastic applause.
Marina, the one being praised, was the most surprised of all, but being the daughter of a prominent count’s family, she drew upon the “Five-Layered Persona” technique passed down from her mother and gracefully curtsied like a true lady.

Another round of applause broke out at Ekaterina’s closing remarks.

Ekaterina was fully prepared to start putting away the chairs and such, but the moment she and Flora approached, a boy snatched them away, exclaiming, “No, I’ll take care of that!”
A hard worker from her past life, she felt a bit unsatisfied, but she decided to use the opportunity to offer her congratulations to Olga instead, and turned around.

She found Olga being monopolized by Renat.

Olga, blushing and looking happy, answered shyly as Renat spoke enthusiastically.

Olga and Renat had likely known each other for some time as fellow retainers of the Seleznoyov family, but it seemed Renat had heard Olga sing for the first time tonight. That, it appeared, was what had caused his attitude to change so completely.
Renat was, one might say, a music fanatic; because music held the greatest value for him, he unconditionally respected those who excelled at it, while treating everyone else as just part of the crowd.

Since the two of them received a standing ovation, there are people around them who look like they want to speak to them, but Renat doesn’t seem to notice.

Beside them, Marina is having her head ruffled by her older brother, Nikolai. It seems he’s scolding her because her running over to Olga might have triggered the crowd to rush toward Olga. Marina is squealing, but it’s just playful banter between close siblings.

Ekaterina felt a warm smile come over her at the sight, but as it always happen, she is decisively lacking self-awareness.
She had forgotten that she, too, had received a standing ovation.

“Lady Ekaterina, we’re all set here.”
“Oh, thank you so much.”

A female classmate called out to her, and Ekaterina smiled and thanked her.
By then, she was surrounded by people.

“Once again, the song you two sang at the beginning was absolutely lovely.”
“Truly. I’d love to try singing it myself—could you please share the lyrics with me?”
“Do you compose music yourself? I’d love to hear your other songs as well!”

Eek!

In this current situation, the etiquette prohibiting those of lower status from speaking first was no longer in effect. In fact, such etiquette tended to be more relaxed at the academy to begin with. Faced with a barrage of questions, both Ekaterina and Flora were at a loss. Ekaterina, in particular, was flustered because she was struggling with how to explain the global hit song from her past life.

The classmates surrounding them suddenly changed their expressions and stepped back all at once.
Appearing in the space that had parted like the Red Sea before Moses was, of course, Aleksei.

Renat-kun was a child prodigy to begin with, and Olga-chan’s talent comes from her own abilities. I had nothing to do with it.

His auditory siscon filter is also in top form.

“So long you enjoyed it, Onii-sama, I could not be happier.”

After all, he was able to enjoy himself listening to music away from work—as a precaution against the ‘death from overwork’ flag, this might have been quite good.
If it’s for my dear Onii-sama’s sake, perhaps I should keep hosting music events. It was fun, after all!

And so, still elated by the event’s huge success, Ekaterina returned to the dorm and climbed into bed.

For some reason, right at that moment, she remembered something she’d been thinking about regarding Renat and jumped out of bed.

I remember it now! The reason I was intrigued by the fact that he’d be popular on livestreams is that he’s one of the voice actors from a dating sim!
When I was looking into whether my Onii-sama could be a potential love interest, I think I caught a glimpse of an article online saying that one of the voice actors is also popular as a singer and that the songs he streams have an incredible number of views.

And the character that voice actor played… it’s probably Renat-kun! I mean, they said they cast him because he’s a “character who excels at music”!
