“Woahh, there’s so many people…”

Everyone in Destiny Unchain Online was getting ready for the old imperial capital to unlock, leading to a large spike in trade.
By now many players had already gotten established all over the continent, so they all returned to the Neutral Interaction City to buy items they could not get in their home, leading to huge crowds.

*…I can see how someone new would get lost instantly with all these people around.*

Crim carefully looked through the crowds thinking that, while heading up to the higher levels of Valhalant.

…And as to why Crim had gone to the Neutral Interaction City…
It was all because of a certain message she received while wandering around after logging into the game.

That alarming title adorned the message Sorleon had sent her.
She quickly opened it, thinking it was a matter of life or death…and saw that Sorleon’s cousin had just started playing the game earlier that day, but she was missing from their meet-up spot, so he wanted help finding her.

Since she had nothing else to do, and she got curious about Sorleon’s cousin, she headed out to Valhalant, feeling like it could be fun.

“Now then…he said she wasn’t at the McD they agreed to meet up at, in that case…”

Crim looked around for possible destinations, navigating through the crowds of people on the streets of Valhalant.
First she headed upstairs, to the fourth floor where there was a famous burger joint…and went past it, instead going to a different burger place on the fifth floor, which also had a big M sign on its entrance.
Her reasoning for that…while it was different from the place they agreed to meet up at, the fifth floor was easier to spot from the Teleporter Plaza, so maybe that could lead to a mistake.
And in the end…Crim’s hunch proved to be correct.

“Hm? What’s happening here?”
“Ah, it’s the Ditzy Lord!”

Right after she got to that shop on the fifth floor, she noticed a separate group of people gathered in a corner, all of them players.
They recognized Crim right away, some of them let out sighs of relief, and they welcomed her to the group.

“You see…there’s this lost girl here, but she’s pretty scared of us. Maybe you’ll have better luck taking care of her?”
“Yes, of course. As it happens to be, she’s the reason why I’m here. Let me through.”

Amidst all of those players, a small figure timidly peeked through.

…An angel had revealed herself.

That was obviously only figuratively speaking, but she looked so lovely that she could be mistaken for one.
She only wore a gilded white dress as a starter item too, making her look like a fragile and precious sculpture that would shatter if one touched it.
Crim also had no idea just how she had managed to set up her silver hair in such a way that it reflected sunlight with opaline colors.
And covered by that hair, like a thin silver veil, was her almost too gorgeous face, even if it still looked young.

*Just who is this girl?*

The instinctive urge to kneel down in front of something so divine assaulted Crim, so it was no surprise that she thought the girl was an angel at first.
Either way, there was nothing Crim could do to resist the protective instincts welling up inside her.

…At the same time, she was maybe even younger than Hinagiku, making her unusually young for a DUO player.
No matter how attractive her face was, she was far too young to incite any impure emotions on the men around her, as all of them only saw her as a small lost girl who needed help.
Still, that situation had made her shrink nervously…until Crim, who looked like a slightly older girl than herself, arrived and allowed her to rest easy.

“Umm…I’m guessing you’re Sorleon’s cousin?”
“You know him? …Ah!”

Leaning down, Crim spoke to the girl.
The mention of that name also produced a strong reaction in the girl, who looked up as her face lit up…and then she finally had a good look at Crim’s face.

“Ah… Wait, could you be the Scarlet Demon Lord..?”
“…Oh, you know of me… Erm, *ahem*, dost thou know who I am?”

The girl looked at Crim like she just met a character out of a legend, her eyes twinkling with excitement, so Crim decided to switch back to her Crim Lua Cheia way of talking to give the girl the full experience.
That turned out to be the right choice, as all of the girl’s worries washed away in an instant.

“Yes I do… Sorleon would always tell me stories about you… He seemed quite fond of you too, and said he never got bored when you were together.”

She laughed as she thought back to those stories.

*Unghhh she’s too adorable!*

There was her cute appearance, but also her bubbly personality contrasting with her earlier shyness, as well as all her refined manners, making her seem almost like some sort of princess.

*…Wait, he’s already some sort of aristocrat, and she’s his cousin so maybe she really is a princess?*

Just as Crim began to think about that…

“…July!”

A voice Crim knew very well boomed through the surrounding hustle and bustle.
Looking in that direction, she saw Sorleon, looking unusually agitated as he pushed his way through the crowd as fast as he could.

“Oh, it looks like he made his way here as well…”
“Sorleon!”

Before Crim could say more, the girl ran up to Sorleon.
He lowered his stance and held his arms out, fully absorbing the impact of her jumping into his chest. They were like a pair of siblings reuniting after a life apart, and Crim just watched stunned.

“I’m so sorry July, my directions should’ve been more clear. Were you afraid? Did anyone do anything weird to you?”
“I’m alright, Sorleon. Everyone was really kind.”
“I’m so glad to hear that…really, I’m so glad.”

He let out an exaggerated sigh of relief as he gently caressed her cheeks, like she could shatter at any moment, and she leaned into it with a happy smile.
Crim was completely lost for words, seeing Sorleon act so differently to his usual behavior.

“Oh… I’m sorry Crim, let me introduce you.”

Eventually they noticed the way Crim and the whole crowd was looking at them, and they quickly separated.
He coughed awkwardly, while the girl blushed as she tried to stand up straight.

“This is my aunt’s daughter, and my cousin…”
“…Julia. Nice to meet you…Scarlet Demon Lord, right?”

Saying that she held the hem of her dress and bowed with perfect form, beaming a smile like flowers in full bloom…leaving the crowd speechless and with slightly reddened cheeks.
