“—Arje! Haven’t you slept a little too much!?”
“Funyan!”

Here I was indulging in blissful idleness, and somebody forcibly woke me up.
My consciousness had been floating softly in a fluffy bed, and then suddenly I was knocked onto the floor. Thanks to that, I ended up letting out another cute scream.
When I reluctantly opened my eyes, I saw Felnoute-san standing over me, clutching the top sheet and breathing hard.
She looks kind of angry. Did something happen?

“Ow… geez, what are you doing?”
“Y-you…!”
“Muu, it’s still bright outside… let me sleep a little longer.”
“Of course it’s bright! It’s already been a full day since you went to sleep! It got dark once and bright again, you know!?”
“It’s only been a day.”
“Could you not say something so absurd with a straight face!?”

Eh, what? Am I the strange one here?
I can’t exactly accept that, but since I’ve been woken up, then so be it. I sat up and stretched, and some of the sleepiness faded.

“It’s not healthy to sleep so much and neglect eating or bathing.”
“I’m fine not eating for about three days, and as for my body…look, Be clean.”

I quickly cleaned myself with a healing magic spell that removes dirt. Mm, this really is incredibly convenient. It even cleans my clothes. Since it removes dirt from the body, it probably cleans whatever’s touching my skin as well.
Watching me tidy myself with healing magic, Felnoute-san sighs deeply in exasperation.

“This is the first time I’ve seen such small-scale absurdity…”
“Huh?”
“The spell you used to clean your body is actually a fairly high-leveled one, normally used to purify someone before special rituals. It consumes a considerable amount of mana, too. And for you to use it so casually… Taking a bath would require far less effort.”
“It’s no big deal. My Enhanced Magic Power is level 10 too.”
“…You really are absurd.”
“By the way, did you need something?”
“Do I need… I just thought it’s about time you wake up and eat something.I felt bad about waking you, but you just kept sleeping. I was starting to worry.”

It seems she was just being considerate. I’ve done something rather inconsiderate.

“I guess I should’ve told you beforehand that I’d be sleeping for three days and please leave me alone.”
“Even then I’d still wake you up!”

She suddenly seems like a straight-man character, but this is probably her true personality. She’s so earnest.
Because she’s earnest, she earnestly responded to such an outrageous request as “Let me drink your blood.”
At first I was taken aback by how she cut her wrist without hesitation, but talking to her now, I understand that for her, it wasn’t strange.
At least to her, she was simply granting the request of someone she considered a benefactor. Without thinking about the background or the reasons, she just responded because she was asked.

…This person is genuinely kind.

Teasing her…ahem, talking with her is actually quite fun. If someone like her would support me, I’d never get bored.

“…Ah, right. I’ll pay for lodging.”
“No, that’s not necessary… More importantly, where did that money just come from?”
“Just call it a vampire specialty.”

The money Zeno-kun gave me is stored, bag and all, inside my Blood Box.
“Blood Box” sounds ominous, but it’s just a storage-type skill. You dissolve the existence of an item into your own blood and pull it back out later.
There’s normally a storage limit, but at maximum skill level, you can store an unlimited amount. And of course, mine is maxed.
My hands are always free and I never have to worry about heavy luggage, so it’s quite convenient. From other people’s perspective, like how Felnoute-san reacted just now, it probably looks like items suddenly appear in my palm.

“But since I’ll be eating your food… I should pay while I still have money. Who knows when it’ll run out.”
“…What do you mean by that?”
“I’m ashamed to say I’m unemployed.”

I know I said “I’ll pay for lodging” like I had money to spare, but even this money I had was not something I earned myself. It’s Zeno-kun’s goodwill, something he worked hard to earn.

…I guess money really is indispensable.

My life goal is “to be supported by someone and live lazily without working, with three meals, naps, and snacks included,” but so far I haven’t found anyone willing to support me.
Until I find a suitable host, I have to secure my own food and bed. Naturally, that requires money.
Even after reincarnating into another world, the importance of money hasn’t changed. They made sure to collect it properly when I ate.
If I had to name a difference from my previous life, it’s that the currency is called “Cyril” instead of yen, and it only comes in coins.

“With your level of skill, you wouldn’t have trouble making money if you sold your healing magic.”
“Ah… like a doctor?”
“Yes. If you’d like, why not try doing business in this town for a while? From what I can see, you don’t have anywhere to go, do you?”
“It’s not that I have nowhere to go, I just haven’t thought about where to go at all. I only came to this town looking for good food and a place suitable for napping.”
“You’re incredibly free-spirited…”
“Ehehe.”
“That wasn’t a compliment. Not even a little. And why can you sound bashful while keeping a completely blank expression?”
“That’s also a vampire specialty.”
“There’s no way that’s true.”

In the end, Felnoute-san didn’t accept any money that day, but we agreed that I would start paying from tomorrow onward.
And so, for a while, I ended up earning my living expenses in Alrescha as a “wandering master of recovery magic.”

Ahh, I want to hurry up and live a life where someone supports me already.
