Every person is different, so I think it’s fairly normal for anyone to feel confused or disappointed by how differently others think.

In other words, if I reincarnate, will I find something like purpose or meaning in life?

While muttering, the loli grampa wrote down the usable abilities on a sheet of paper.
Incidentally, the paper appeared out of nowhere, and a pen that likewise appeared from nowhere floated in midair and wrote the letters. I still couldn’t see the loli grampa’s form.
After what was probably a few minutes, the paper placed in front of me was covered in text. Reading it was a genuine chore, but since the loli grampa was such a nag, I reluctantly started reading.

I’m tired just from finishing reading it. That’s how many entries there were.
I feel like I’ve worked hard enough already, so I’d like to take a nap right where I stand..

“Can’t you just pick them for me at random?”

“Even if you take them all, you’ll still have points left… Can you decide which abilities to develop further?”

And judging by the way she said it, I have to use up all the points.
Seriously, why is this loli grampa so overtly meticulous? Is she Japanese?

“Then take everything, and put the remaining points into resistances and healing magic.”

Obviously I’d rather not die again, so I’d have to prioritize my survival. There’s no guarantee I’ll die painlessly next time too, after all.
Poison and curses sound painful, and since I’m a vampire, I’m probably weak to sunlight too, so I’ll cover that. And the healing magic in case I get injured.
With that, survival would be more than plausible.

“…The thing is, even if I max those out, you’ll still have plenty left.”
“What’s today’s recommendation?”

Apparently I still have some points left, so I have them put the rest into Bloodsucking. At a reasonable level, the benefits outweigh the drawbacks, she says, so it should be fine.

“Next is your physical status setup…”
“There’s more…? Just make it random, please.”

When I give her a look that questions her sanity, the loli grampa sighs but agrees.
She’s probably a good person. At least she plays along. And she’s attentive.
She’s probably some kind of god, but there’s something about her that feels like a long-suffering worker. That’s nice too. I’d like her to support me for life.
Well, she’s probably busy dealing with people like me every time, so that’s impossible… but… but…

“W-what is it? Why did you suddenly go silent… Does your stomach hurt?”
“No, I was just thinking you’re such a pushover.”
“What do you mean!?”

Don’t worry about it. That’s just between me and myself.

“Ahem… That concludes the preparations necessary for your reincarnation. Once you’re mentally prepared, you can reincarnate at any time.”
