“Huhh…you want me to…show up on a video broadcast?”
“Yes… though the precise details of how it shall come to pass shall be left to thy discretion.”

The elven queen Florite tilted her head, and Crim nodded affirmatively.
Crim, Frey, and Freya had decided to act on their plan as soon as possible, ending their tea party in Castle Seyfert’s garden to go talk with the queen in Floria’s palace.

…In short, they wanted the queen herself to request the help of more players.

She would not be pleading or begging for anything, it would be more like an invitation.

Anything more could reflect badly on the reputation of the Lua Cheia United Kingdoms as a benevolent and non-aggressive country, as it could end up looking like they were treating the elven queen as their vassal. That was something Frey made sure to point out, and that Crim agreed with.

But despite that…

“Crim, what are you trying to do…”

Lawran had a pretty strong reaction to it, as he massaged his temples while glaring at Crim.
Next to him was White Lily, stationed in the palace as an ambassador, her face ashen as it looked like her soul had left her body.
All of that was roughly what Crim had expected, and was ready for some more pushback.

The queen was always open to meet with them, maybe because Frey and Freya were fellow High Elves, or because Crim was seen with reverence as a Young Spirit of the Night…but usually, no one was even allowed to look directly at the queen during audiences, as she would stand behind a curtain.

So Crim was fully expecting for the queen to decline right away, and had thought of ways to convince her…

“Sure, I’ll gladly do it if you think it’ll work.”
“…What?!”
“Your Majesty?!”
“Sister?!”

The queen seemed to actually be into the idea, as she nodded readily. Crim was still processing that response, while Sven and Lawran became flustered.

“…Sven, Lawran, don’t forget we’re the ones who need help. It’s only natural for us to request that aid with our own mouths.”
“I mean…that’s true.”
“Sister…your wisdom never ceases to surprise me.”

Lawran had no words to fight back when the queen mentioned that, and Sven’s sister complex was in full swing.
But…the three neutral parties there, Crim, Frey, and Freya, had noticed the queen’s true intentions.

“So a broadcast…and I’ll be there, hm? That sounds pretty fun. I’ll be looking forward to it.”
“Sister…”
“Your Majesty…”

She clasped her hands together, looking rather enthused about the idea, while Sven and Lawran just shrugged in defeat, knowing there was little they could do about the queen’s whims.

…With that settled, they just needed to get Lycoris to be the cameraman, but as it was past her bedtime, it would have to wait until the next day.

Everything had gone far more smoothly than they anticipated, and now they found themselves with a lot of free time in their hands… So in the end, the three agreed on going to check on Selena and her brother, since they had not heard anything about them after Selena started preparing the cure.

And as they headed to Selena’s home…

“Wee, I’m so high up!”
“Yes you are, boy. You’re not scared?”
“Nope, I can see so much! It’s so fun!”
“I see, that’s good then. Let’s hope you can get better soon so you can walk around on your own feet and see even more things!”
“Mhm!”

They heard a pair of lively voices, a familiar manly one, and an unknown one of a young boy.
When they looked in that direction, they saw the owner of that familiar voice carrying the boy on his shoulders…

“If it isn’t Suzaku… And that boy, he’s Selena’s brother, isn’t he?”
“Geh…”

Suzaku looked like he was really enjoying himself, carrying a young elf on his shoulders, but then scowled with disgust the instant he saw Crim.
The young boy also seemed to get startled as he hid behind Suzaku’s head.
But Crim’s white hair, and Freya being a fellow elf with a beautiful appearance made him constantly peek out cutely with curiosity.

“Why the sour face, Suzaku? It’s nothing to be ashamed of, is it?”
“Mhm, being good with children is a wonderful thing, Suzaku.”
“Ughh…this sucks so much…”

Crim was impressed to witness that, but still spoke with a mocking voice, while Freya was completely honest with her compliment, but Suzaku was not pleased at all by seeing them there…and then someone else showed up behind him.

“Ah…Umm, hello…”

It was a young blue haired elven alchemist, who seemed a bit hesitant to greet Crim.

“Ohh, Selena is here as well. From what I can tell, the medicine for thy brother hath proven a success.”
“Yes…thank you again, for everything you’ve done. I really don’t know how I can make it up to you…and for all the trouble I caused.”

She kept her head lowered, refusing to raise her gaze and instead looking at Crim’s stomach. It was clear that she still regretted having stabbed Crim there.

“There’s nothing to repay anymore. Just seeing that both of you are doing well now is reward enough.”
“Okay..!”

Selena bowed again, both to apologize and out of gratitude, and Crim just told her to not worry about it.
The elf girl finally showed a pure and innocent smile after that, which made Crim nod in approval.
Then…everyone’s attention focused on Suzaku again, who was carrying Selena’s brother on his shoulders.

“Hmm, I see how it is now.”
“Is there something on my face or what?”
“No no, that’s not what I meant at all, heheh.”

Crim continued staring at him with a warm smile, as she had never expected that he would be the kind of person to like kids, while he just looked away awkwardly.
Seeing him so flustered also made Crim want to tease him more, and she was already thinking of spreading the news to Haru at school the next day…

“*…achoo!*”

…Without knowing it would not come to happen.
