「It’s finally here!」
『Time for the Puppet Sorcery course.』
Four days since opening; it’s finally the day for Ciel’s most awaited Puppet Sorcery course.
Ciel has been in high spirits since early morning, so combined with how boring yesterday’s Hunter Studies was, Ciel’s anticipation is through the roof.
Even without the class, the opportunity to be able to talk with Munyechka should be a good thing. She’s the first active S-rank hunter we’ve ever met, so we might be able to hear some interesting stories as well.
「You seem to be in a jovial mood.」
「Today is the Puppet Sorcery course day.」
「That’s quite exciting.」
Seeing Ciel’s excitement, Mia responded with a gentle tone.
And then, as if realizing something, she continued.
「In that case, would you be making a doll of Lady Ainsel?」
「I’m not so sure. But we should, I think?」
「If that’s the case, then may I be bold to ask for a puppet of you two?」
「Alright, but why is that?」
「I want them to adorn the room.」
The sudden suggestion had Ciel tilt her head, puzzled. I’m confused about it as well.
However, if you ask me if I want a Ciel puppet, I’m completely on board, so I can understand the sentiment. But a puppet of me is unnecessary.
Some might think, *’Well, the only difference is the color’*, but that’s not the case. Ciel is Ciel; I am me.
Ciel appeared to have finally digested Mia’s words, promising her, 「Eventually.」
「But it would certainly be nice to have an Ain puppet somewhere I can always see.」
『I don’t think that’s really necessary.』
「Unlike Ain, I don’t have many chances to see you in person, you know? Could I at least have a puppet to look at?」
Having a puppet of yourself on display would be genuinely embarrassing, so I firmly refused; however, I couldn’t think of any argument against Ciel’s request. Whenever I’m not in control, I can move freely to some extent, but that doesn’t seem to be the case for Ciel, so the only time she can see me in flesh is through the mirror.
If I were in her shoes, I’d at least want a puppet of Ciel, and I probably wouldn’t have been able to keep my motivation up back at the Rispelgia mansion in the first place.
That’s why I gave up, telling Ciel, 『I understand. I’ll allow it,』 which she—with a blooming smile—replied, 「Thank you.」
『But first, it’s time to head to the academy.』
「It’s already that time? In that case, we’ll be leaving now.」
「Of course. Please take care.」
Sent off by Mia, we headed to the academy building.
◇◇◇
When heading out in the morning, we bump into Belltina.
So in the end, the residents of this floor should be us, Belltina, Rulinia, Rynaetra, and Munyechka, I believe?
Rulinia and Rynaetra are probably here for the princess, and Munyechka is part of the academy staff. Meanwhile we are who we are, so the only proper student here is probably Belltina. Though from Belltina’s words, she seriously doesn’t want to study, apparently.
After meeting with Belltina, we have small exchanges on the way to the academy, but since our classrooms are different, we quickly part ways.
The miserable expression she showed before parting must be due to her not having any friends in her class. Stay strong.
There were no particular announcements today; we only had attendance checking, so we decided to head straight to the Puppet Sorcery classroom.
I’m usually the one in control in the morning, but since today’s Puppet Sorcery is a morning class, Ciel is the one active. We only have Combat Training in the afternoon, so Ciel will be active the whole day today.
While Ciel was against it, there really isn’t much that can be done since it’s our class schedule. Though depending on how many students are enrolled in Puppet Sorcery, it might be alright for us to switch out as we like.
Now, the Puppet Sorcery classroom is located deep inside the Sorcery Department building. We passed by several students on the way, but as we drew near to the classroom, there was no more human presence. There were no more voices or footsteps that could be heard.
It looks like Puppet Sorcery is really unpopular. This probably reflects the public’s opinion on it. Recalling our conversation with Munyechka, there are even times when they don’t open the course to begin with.
「There you are.」
As we entered the Puppet Sorcery classroom, a girl’s high-pitched voice greeted us.
The classroom was devoid of people except for Munyechka. Feeling around a bit, it seems like there are no other puppets today.
She could at least have Semiette present, but perhaps it’s bothersome to have two of herself around.
「Nice to meet you. My name is Cielmer.」
「You must be the host personality. I believe you already know me, but I’m Munyechka.」
I wondered how Ciel planned to present herself, but with her introducing herself as Cielmer, it seems like she’s going to act normally. While Ciel was a bit lacking in etiquette, since Munyechka doesn’t seem to be bothered, I’ll deem it acceptable.
More importantly, Munyechka’s remark seems to have somewhat upset Ciel.
「No, no, that’s wrong. There’s no host or something between us. This body is my body, and also Ain’s body.」
「I see, you seem to have a rare sort of relationship. My bad.」
「As long as you understand. It is true that Ain came to me, after all.」
「Uh-huh. Then once again, welcome, Cielmer.」
「I’ll be in your care from today on, Munyechka.」
After exchanging greetings once again, Ciel sat down among the excess of chairs, and Munyechka sat next to her.
『Are we the only students enrolled in this course?』
「Are there no other people coming?」
「Yup. There aren’t that many people eccentric enough to take Puppet Sorcery, you see.」
「Is that so? I believe I’m just living normally, though.」
「Having the gall to say that despite the abilities you have makes you plenty eccentric.」
And that ends this update! Munyechka has barely just known Ciel, and she already understands how eccentric she is, lol.
It’s always sweet how Ciel is adamant about the two of them sharing a body (and Ain not being a sort of parasite), and it’s also nice how Munyechka just apologized. From her interaction with Ain, she probably didn’t expect that kind of reaction (with Ain being Ain), and maybe she was basing it on her own circumstances. Also, it was also cute how Mia wanted dolls of the two of them; never separate the girls, you get it.
Now then, I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Please feel free to comment. Stay healthy, stay safe, and have a nice day~!
