“Oh wow, Commander, you really fell for it?”
Xiao Lei’s opening line from inside the gazebo left me momentarily baffled.

Rinka burst into laughter. “Hahaha! This idiot took the bait! Sis Meow Meow, get her!”

“Leave it to me! Haaah!”

Despite wearing a short school skirt, Meow Meow sprang off the gazebo railing in a clean jump and pounced—landing squarely on my lower back.

“Guwah!” I let out a pained croak like a frog getting stepped on.

“Got you now!” She grabbed my arms and twisted them behind me in a lock, pinning me down with my face smushed against the grass.

“Stop it! Human arms don’t bend that way!” I whimpered, teary-eyed, and turned to the one person I could count on: “Sis Qiuluo, help me!”

“I think I’d be at a disadvantage if I stepped in right now. I’m going on patrol!”

To my horror, Qiuluo glanced once at Rinka, then did a flawless kip-up and bolted without a word—vanishing like a cartoon character fleeing the scene.

“Huh? There was someone else here?” Meow Meow blinked. “Wait a minute—did she hear everything we just said?”

Xiao Lei quickly stepped in to explain. “That was the person I mentioned before—senior Li Jianlian’s older sister. She works with the senior and me at the café. She already knows about the whole God of Bishoujo thing, so don’t worry. She won’t say anything.”

Meow Meow still looked a little uneasy, but since Qiuluo had long vanished, she just gave a reluctant nod. “Whatever. Even if she did talk, no one would believe her.”

“Okay, now can you let me go? I don’t like eating grass, thanks.”

Every time I spoke, I got a mouthful of turf.

“Hmph! That’s what you get for walking right into the trap.”

“So what trap? Can someone please explain what’s going on?”

Thankfully, this two-faced traitor Xiao Lei still had a conscience. She helped pull me out from under Meow Meow’s butt and dusted me off.

She explained, “This was Rinka’s trap all along. The whole ‘strategy meeting’ was just a cover. Her real goal was to lure you out. And you actually fell for it.”

“That’s so underhanded!”

The mastermind Rinka scratched her head sheepishly, as if embarrassed to be complimented.

“Honestly, Kai-chan, I thought you’d arrive way later. I figured the gate guard would block you, and you’d have to go back to change into your uniform. Never expected you’d have so many connections. You just strolled right in.”

“Well, congrats, I guess. You got me.” I sat in the gazebo hugging the nameless white cat, cheeks puffed in frustration. “So what exactly did you drag me here for?”

Rinka reached out and tugged my cheeks upward, trying to force a smile onto my face.

“Don’t be mad, Kai-chan. My goal hasn’t changed—it’s always been to get you to transfer into the girls’ campus.”

“My situation’s temporary, you know. Once my fracture heals, I can’t transform anymore. Is it really worth transferring with less than a month left?”

My cast comes off in mid-October—barely a few weeks away.

“Well, if it’s you Kai, even if you can’t transform, you could still come to the girls campus, right?” Sis Xi chimed in, way too eager.

Wait, does that mean she wants me to go crossdressing? That’s a seriously dangerous idea!

“Meow!”

Right then, the previously well-behaved white cat wriggled free from my arms and darted out of the gazebo toward something in the distance.

“Ah—wait!”

I instinctively got up to chase after it, but the second I saw who it was approaching—a tall girl with a familiar single-side ponytail—I immediately ducked behind one of the gazebo’s pillars, cold sweat forming on my back.

Rinka saw her too and lit up. “Hey, isn’t that the student council president?”

Yep. That tall figure walking toward us was none other than Haitang. Of course—today of all days, I didn’t check my horoscope or the lunar calendar. My luck’s clearly in the gutter.

“Well hello, what are all you seniors doing here on a weekend?” she asked casually.

Even as the student council president, Haitang’s just a first-year. Facing Rinka and the others from the upper grades, she politely addressed them as seniors.

“Meow~” The white cat that had run off earlier was now perched obediently on Haitang’s shoulder, like a plush toy.

Meow Meow came over to knead its paws. “So this cat belongs to the student council?”

“It used to be a stray,” Haitang explained. “But for some reason, the windowsill outside the student council room became a hangout for strays. Tangerine and Yang Qi took on the job of feeding them.”

‘Some reason’ definitely meant Tangerine’s ability to talk to cats.

“Wow, I didn’t even know that kind of place existed.”

“Probably because that girl Cangyu always keeps the curtains drawn. You’ve probably been there a few times and just didn’t notice.”

“How many cats are we talking?”

“Over a dozen, I think. Pretty much all the school’s strays have gathered there. Wanna come see?”

“I do!” Meow Meow perked up.

I don’t! I screamed internally. She’s just off triggering events again on her own!

I’d hoped they’d just leave me alone to wallow here in peace…

“Oh? And who’s this senior out of uniform?”

Damn. She saw me. Of course she would—my lack of a school uniform stood out like a sore thumb, not to mention how dirty I was.

I could feel Haitang approaching. No one else was stepping up to cover for me?

“Hehehe~ Ha!”

She clamped a hand on my shoulder and spun me around before I could stop her. I resisted, but she was stronger.

“Eh… Commander?” She looked at my face… then down at my chest… and made a complicated expression.

Then she sighed, long and heavy. “So… you finally took this step, huh…”

What step?! What the hell are you imagining?!

“Wait, Haitang, let me explain—”

No time to explain. Her hands were already groping my chest like she was evaluating produce. “Fake breasts these days are so realistic. They feel totally natural.”

Stop! I’m gonna lose it! Don’t squeeze! That hurts!

She did it with such pent-up aggression that I almost burst into tears right there.

But I couldn’t show weakness. I forced myself to play it cool and protectively cradled my chest as I shuffled away.

“You really went all in, huh? These are stuck on tight. They feel real, Commander.”

“T-These… prosthetics were expensive, okay?!”

A chorus of pfft sounds followed. Everyone except Fei was struggling to hold in laughter.

“You don’t look out of place, sure,” she said, now in full student council president mode, hands on hips, leaning over me (she’s taller, of course), “but crossdressing your way into a girls’ school is still a serious offense!”

“Since I’m heading back to the student council room with Sis Meow Meow anyway, why don’t you come too? As childhood friends, I’ll overlook this whole thing if you follow us there.”

That definitely raised red flags. “For what?”

“As a guest, of course. Can’t I invite you? Tangerine’s there too. Don’t you wanna see her?”

Of course I wanna see my little sister Tangerine—but Haitang herself is way too intense!

We’ve known each other since we were kids, so I can tell when she’s plotting something. The way she’s acting now… she definitely has a scheme in mind. And the way she reacted to seeing me like this? Way too calm. It’s like she already knew. Shouldn’t she have been more shocked?

“Wait, Haitang! We’re still in the middle of something here!”
Rinka stepped in, clearly unwilling to let me go. After all, I was the big catch she’d spent an entire week planning to reel in.

“Huh? I meant all of us, of course!” Haitang smiled. “The student council room’s pretty spacious—and it’s got AC. Beats sitting in this tiny gazebo, right?”

“N-No… we only picked this place so Kai-chan could find us easily,” Rinka said, finally admitting it was all a trap set for me.

That explained a lot. I’d been wondering why they’d hold a so-called strategy meeting outside.

Since Haitang didn’t know all the context, Rinka looked visibly reluctant. But Haitang just sighed and stepped right up to her.

Rinka, overwhelmed by her presence, backed away two steps—only to bump against a gazebo pillar.

Then Haitang leaned in and whispered something in her ear.

Rinka blinked in surprise… and then gave the most devious little grin.

A grin that spelled disaster for me.

“Got it. Then let’s all go to the student council office!”
